Some pricing info on HD DVD titles and a Blu-ray burner

    Just a note that the prices might even be lower since DVD prices tend to be lower than the SRP.($30 MSRP = $15-$20?)

    I also seem to recall seeing some movie on Amazon.com that was listed for around the same price (in both formats). Of course, the DVD version is like $10 and pricing info at Amazon.com isn't the most reliable info, but still... :)

    Also, I missed this until a day or two ago, but there's a new BR device (DL burner) from Samsung that will be out in April, and in the following article, a price is mentioned:

    by the time that prices are reasonable for HD format dvds ill hopefully be able to afford a nice plasma or lcd screen.

    major upgrades all around. :D

    jesus, when did 30 dollar dvd's become wallet friendly. I'm diggin through the walmart clearance bin like i'm diggin a hole to china.

    I guess that's wallet friendly since, as I said, most new DVDs come out around that SRP, but actually go for around $20 or so. Considering that it could have been 2-3 times more than that (which might still be the case for other movies), that's pretty "wallet friendly". Something tells me that the first people who buy these movies probably don't search in the Walmart clearance bin that often.
