houston just don't have enough $$$ to get yao. let me get something clear to YOU people: i worked in shanghai for a year, and i know chinese better than you people. shanghai shakes and CBA and chinese gov are viewing YAO as one of the biggest money making output they have. they not going to let him go just for 350,000 buyout that houston can offer, or that couple millions out of yao's salary. they want much much much more! right now, CBA is taking 50%, now add the shakes to the deal, they, reported by nba insider, wants somewhere between 15-20mil, now where yao going to get that kinda money???????? clearly houston can't offer this kinda deal and ming can't either and shanghai shakes knows it! they are business men first and they are SMART. they will try to make the best deal for themself, and they are eyeing NY or CHI. i am not sure why they want chi, but NY clearly can offer a much better deal to shanghai shakes than houston ever can. they can offer cheap tv deals, (i think ny is the only team in nba owns it's in house tv right), cable version can even sponsor cba or shanghai tv stations. they just have $$$ to waste and shanghainess knows it. what you think they talked about during the dinner when yao is in chi? face it, they want $$$ and houston just can't provide that. you can lock this or ban me, fine, just don't go home cry like a baby when houston ends up forced to deal a much more crappy deal on the draft day.
