I've got a bunch of iso files and I have no idea how to run them. Someone told me Alcohol 120 would work, but I really have no idea what I'm doing here. They said something about 'burning a disk image' or something. I have no idea what that means.

    Help....

Alcohol is a program that allows you to burn the ISO onto a CD.

Ideally, once you burn it the CD will run as though it was the original software.

ISOs are the 'image' of a CD.

I believe that some programs will also allow you to 'mount' the ISO. In other words, it will run the ISO as though you are spinning the CD/DVD in your drive.

If all you want to do is run iso files, don't even bother with burning softwares like alcohol 120.

Just download Daemon tools(there's a free version). It's easy to use and self-explanatory.

All right....I've tried Daemon Tools, but I really have no idea what I'm doing.

    I'll try again tomorrow.

    Thanks, y'all.

pretty much you have to go to "tools" or whatever and find the "mount virtual drive" then select that, and find the iso file and "mount" it. Then just look in My Computer and its there

just burn the iso to a cd
    <br>
I don't see why you can't just use whatever cd burning software came with your computer (most likely roxio)
There should be an option for burning an iso file...

Basically, just run it. Open the iso(or bin or whatever the image is turned into). Then check to see another "CD/DVD drive". If your current DVD drive is D:, for example, it should be E:.

If the iso file is a movie or as autorun feature, you should know you're doing it correctly because the file should immediately be read.

Right-click on ISO -----> Click "Extract File"

    That should do it.

Get DAEMON tools, launch it, right click, select mount image, navigate to those isos and select.

    I tried this and....nothing happened.

So I have all these RAR files within each language folder. I need to extract each one, yes?

Do I mount the application or the language packs? Both?

I say just give up. Put all the ISOs in one folder. Then click/highlight the folder and hit shift+del.

Did you extract all the files to a folder first?

To extract .RAR files, you might have to use a program called winRAR. It isn't that hard to figure out. It works a lot like winzip.

Once you have all the files extracted it shouldn't be too hard.

daemon tools basically works like a disc drive without the actual hardware.

It will recognize the ISO file like a CD-ROM drive recognizes software and plays.

Click on daemon tools when its in your small icons tool tray. Select Virtual CD/DVD then on the Device (It may assign it a letter such as D: Drive or F:Drive since it is made to function like an actual drive) and then click "mount image" and open the .ISO file.
