I'm sure this has been covered here, but I think it bears repeating. Rudy T. is the rockets. Hakeem is the rockets. Calvin Murphy is the rockets. You cannot replace them just because the team is not playing well. Or the team is not in the playoffs. Or you don't like the rotation Rudy plays. Or you don't think Hakeem plays with enough fire. Or, as les alexander found out when he bought the team and tried to fire Calvin, you can't get rid of players or former player who have meant so much to the franchise. Both Hakeem and Rudy have been criticized recently, although Hakeem has done much to silence those criticisms, Rudy seems to continuely be bashed. I really don't understand this.

question: who was the last rockets coach?
Answer: Don Chaney. Don 'friggin' Chaney!

At that time, the rockets were nobody. Hakeem was about to be traded to the LA 'friggin' clippers for stanley 'friggin' roberts and danny manning.

Last year, rudy took time off because of chronic fatigue. You don't get chronic fatigue without hard work. Now, I know some of you think you know what is best for the rockets in any game situation, rotations, you can breakdown defenses, know who to double team and when, the minutes each player should have, but (and this is no disrespect to anyone) I have my money on Rudy.

    Consider this: Chicago Bulls!

Consider this: Seattle replaced George Karl because they could not win the championship. Now, I imagine they would love to have him back.

I could go on, but I'll just say this, if rudy gets replaced, which won't happen because les is not that stupid, we will all regret it ever happened.
