Superb defender on the ball... Can score, but that won't be his main task in Houston... Will do the dirty work.

9 Bostjan Nachbar
Likes to run the court and finish the break... Above average shooter... Excellent athleticism for European standards... Can play both the shooting guard and small forward spot... As usual in players coming from Europe, must improve on the defensive end.

30 Clarence Weatherspoon
Plays both forward spots... Undersized for the power forward position... Fierce rebounder... Plays with good attitude... Good shooting touch... Has lot some weight... Well past his prime.

52 Eric Piatkowski
A pure shooter... Not a physically gifted one... His points will always come from the perimeter... Struggles on defense.

21 Jimmy Jackson
Could have been a big star in the league without that big injury... Nice jumper... Has spent a lot of time in the gym... Always good at rebounding... Will bring scoring punch and defensive toughness... Able to guard three positions.

5 Juwan Howard
One of Michigan's Fab Five... Strange and effective shooting mechanic... Good back-to-the-basket scorer... A really talented offensive player... Not the greatest rebounder in the world, but a good one... Can put the ball on the floor and finish the fast break... Average defender.

2 Maurice Taylor
Good bulk... Very talented on the offensive end... Very effective mid-range shot... Nice hook shot... Lacks rebounding skills... Doesn't like to bang in the paint.

29 Mike Wilks
A prep star... Has great quickness... Good defender on the ball... Very good attitude... Size hurts him.

22 Reece Gaines
Can play all backcourt spots... Scores and passes the ball well... Good athlete... Good defender... Does a little bit of everything... Has no big flaws... Not an outstanding player in any aspect of the game.

1 Tracy McGrady
An athletic freak... Will dunk on anyone... Great coordination and quickness... Long arms... Above average ballhandling skills... Almost unstoppable one-on-one... Can drive to the basket or shoot the ball... Has three-point shooting range... Goes to the line very often... Will post good rebounding numbers... Great vision of the court... Five assists per night... A real superstar.

10 Tyronn Lue
Great quickness... Great defender... Takes care of the ball... Can consistently create his own shot... And hit it... Excels in the open court.

11 Yao Ming
With that size and that talent, he is going to be a dominant player in the league in a near future... Deathly turnaround jumper... Great range... Good handle of the ball for his size... Passes the ball well when double-teamed... Excellent mobility... Very quick feet for his size... Strong legs... A block waiting to happen... Lacks rebounding skills... Must improve positioning and be more aggressive... Short arms for his size.

A gifted athlete... Awesome dunker... Has developed a good jump shot... Settles for too many jump shots now... Not a threat from beyond the arc... Lacks defensive toughness.

12 Dwight Howard
Excellent athlete... Good moves... Very good attitude... More than decent perimeter game... A lot of potential... No mean streak... Needs time.

33 Grant Hill
Will he ever be the same after all those ankle problems?... Has not yet been able to bring his tremendous scoring punch to the Orlando Magic... Great rebounder for a player his size... Good passing skills... High basketball IQ... Lacks killer instinct.

Hidayet Turkoglu
So versatile... Can play four different spots, from the point guard to the power forward... Does his best on the small forward position... Very good driving to the basket thanks to his size, first step and ballhandling skills... Can shoot from anywhere... Good accuracy from beyond the arc... Above average vision of the court... Not afraid of taking clutch shots... Not bad on the defensive end... Not outstanding in any aspect of the game.

14 Jameer Nelson
Very talented... A true floor general... Superb defender on the ball... A little bit too short... Not a threat from beyond the arc.

Good scorer... Above average athlete... Can take opponents of the dribble... Jump shot needs work.

13 Kelvin Cato
Really a big man in the middle... Will block shots and grab rebounds... Good leaping skills... A prolific dunker... Has limited talent with the ball in his hands.

Has good size and rebounding skills... A lot to improve.

8 Pat Garrity
A shooter... Extremely dangerous from beyond the arc... Will punish the double-teams on T-Mac... Can play the four spot... No post skills... Done for season due to an injury.

3 Steve Francis
Has the physical and technical skills to become a dominant point guard in this decade... Extremely athletic... Almost 40 inches of vertical leap... Scores, rebounds and assists... A triple-double waiting to happen... Above average shooting skills... Hard to stop when he decides to drive to the basket... Great ballhandling skills... Too selfish... Should get teammates more involved.

4 Tony Battie
Good mobility... Great leaping skills... Remarkable player on the defensive end... Will grab some rebounds, block some shots and even score with mid-range shots... Has knee problems.
