Link Here are some of Yao's rehab photos as of 16-3-10 For those who cannot read Chinese at approximately middle of the page you will see the numbers and clicking on those would take you to another photo. Sorry if this has been posted before, please lock if it is.
Thanks for the pics. The good news is that it appears Yao is getting in shape. On the other hand, he is still wearing that hideous boot.
This is a REAL reminder why Morey must go after a dependable center in the offseason. Right now, we are getting just a glimpse of how explosive this team can be next year, and this is without a big guy who can protect the paint. As much as I love Yao, I can not depend on him to stay healthy. Camby would fill our needs as afar as rebounding/shot blocking is concerned, but they will probably want Battier plus a draft pick.
Those were OLD photos of at least 5 months ago BEFORE Yao Ming went back to China in mid December. I remembered I saw those photos from pryuen on YMM back in October last year. According to pryuen's latest updates, he already did not need to put on his very bulky protective boots now for his rehab.
You will make my day if the above is true. Question: why would a newspaper use very outdated photos of Yao if the same will distort his true current condition? Laziness?
Compare the photos and you'll see I'm right. http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=175713 and these from NBA.com dated October 2009. http://www.nba.com/multimedia/photo_gallery/0910/yao.workout/content.1.html
Gotta stop bashing Chinese newspapers and reporters.. Let me get this straight I didn't have time to read the article but the title actually says "pictures of Yao doing trainings through his injury are leaked/published/shown; intensity of the training is astounding." In no way did the article (title at least) talk about these are all recent pics of Yao, hence it's not guaranteed that the pictures are of him without his boots. It is not violating the title in anyway for the reporters to include older pics. The pics after the middle point, I believe, are of recent without the boots.
Outdated pics can be misleading and there is simply no excuse for using them as they are probably not representative of Yao's current physical condition. Next time I am involved in a car accident, I will simply send an oudated pic of my car circa 6 months earlier. I am sure my insurance company won't mind.
I do think all those photos were OLD photos. Look at Yao's haircut: all those photos did not have the Eddie Munster style that Yao Ming had sported recently. Below is a photo just taken recently on March 16 in the carnival gathering that Houston Rockets thrown to thank the season tickets holders/fans. Another 2 photos taken on March 10 in his visit to Hildago to watch the Rio Grande Valley Vipers play..... Notice the Eddie Munster look/hairdo ???
There are many photos in there. It might be photos to show his progress from the beginning to present. Once you get passed the early photos, there is no boot. No Boot http://www.businesstimes.com.hk/a-20100316/yaoming_15.htm http://www.businesstimes.com.hk/a-20100316/yaoming_16.htm http://www.businesstimes.com.hk/a-20100316/yaoming_17.htm http://www.businesstimes.com.hk/a-20100316/yaoming_19.htm
speaking of which, i haven't seen pryuen in forever. i remember how devoted he was to posting updates regarding Yao (and how touchy he was about people not giving his contributions enough credit). where did he go?
a lot of these pics are old, anywhere from a few weeks to years. I dont think any of these are after he took the boot off.
According to the report, photos from 13 and onward are new. (注:從第13張起為姚明訓練資料圖) The Web site might have included the older photos to show the rehabilitation progression, but yeah, very misleading for people who don't read Chinese.
Ya that's because Chinese articles are not meant for non Chinese readers to read?..lol I don't see why ppl "who got misled" are assuming it's the laziness of reporters that put out dated photos and says its updated. Amazing how they don't read chinese and still able to map out the concept that the purpose of the article must be showing those pictures taken yesterday.
