http://blog.chron.com/ultimaterocke...the-same-from-the-middle-of-the-pack-rockets/ Exaggerating or stating the facts ? In my opinion he's right as the Rockets are again not going for a high draft pick last year while knowing they are not the best in the West or one of the worst in the league. However, I'm sure Morey tries to make a trade according to the results before the trade deadline. If we're good make us better, if not my guess is he's going to trade Martin and or Scola for picks so we can develop our young guys.
Just so no one will have to click this jagoff's link (although I recommend against reading any further):
Erm the West is actually quite open for once. All the old powerhouses are gone/severely weakened (Spurs, Lakers, Jazz, Phx), and while OKC and Dallas look formidable they certainly seem weaker than the Spurs, Lakers et al. when they were at their peak. If you're going for "win now" mode this year would have to be it, the best teams are weaker than usual and the bottom feeders will try to lose games due to the deep draft. If everyone is healthy I really like our chances this year.
Fully agree, just like 10 years ago a huge change is taking place. We can win games now and surprise some struggling top teams.
I agree, he can be difficult to stomach on most his articles but pretty much spot on with this one. While the West maybe wide open, Morey himself has said he doesn't see this as a contender. He is trying to be a predator, waiting for the next prize to drop...at the expense of the season and a high draft pick.
Mainly didn't say anything new than has been said for the past couple years. Also, can he be fired simply for the fact that he said: If anything, watching the Rockets the past years WITHOUT that type of player has looked weird.
A great article by JS and people are upset. Being a journalist is about being objective. The only way that you would give JS any credit is if he wrote an article about the greatness of Morey.
Typical JS. Taking small sample sizes out to try and build an army to fight against Morey and the Rockets. He is trying to make a career out of being the "bad guy" who openly hates the Rockets but he doesnt realize that the Rockets organization and other Houston sports franchises are the ones who put the food on his table. I strongly suggest Clutchfans to stay away from clicking his articles and email the Chronicle with complaints as much as you can about this guys nonsense. Bill Maher is to the Republicans as is Sean Hannity is to the Democrats as Jerome Solomon is to the Rockets and Houston sports. If Houston sucks so bad.... Move Jerome, Ill draw you a map out of town.
