    Ok i have never updated my PSP's software. I have version 1.50 and 3.01 is out now. Im following the directions of the PSP website using my USB cable. I now I downloaded into the PSP because my memory stick duo is at 9mb of free space and the download is 20mb. How do I update my software once its been downloaded into hte PSP? I cant find it anywhere on the PSP?

    You have to have it in the right folder....

    1. Create a folder for the update data on the Memory Stick Duo™ media.
    Using your PC, create a folder named "PSP" on the Memory Stick Duo™ media. Within the "PSP" folder, create a folder named "GAME". Within the "GAME" folder, create a folder named "UPDATE". (Folder names must be in all uppercase letters)

    Download the update data and save it in the "UPDATE" folder created in step 2.

    I:\PSP\Game\Update\

    1.5 = free games

    mleahy and chopper, you guys ever think to consider that most people don't bother pirating stuff and therefore don't even know how or care to

    i have a 1.5 psp that i broke the lcd screen of a long time ago. i plan on fixing it some time soon, so is 1.5 still the only thing i can play all my nes roms on? i figured they'd have hacked the newer versions by now or sony would have given up on keeping people out. so if i get a new game is it going to automatically update the firmware or how does it work now?
