As a relative beginner when it comes to Photoshop, I'd like to know if a tutorial exists that will help me to: - take the head off one photo - place it onto the body of somone in another photo - use masks to get the right look - tweak the image adjustments to get the skin tones to match - and blend the border between where the mask lies I've tried and played around with this but can't seem to get the end result to appear as professional as those who contribute to the "Photoshop the Pain" threads in the GARM. Any suggestions?
You can use a lot of the tools. Use a "fuzzy" eraser on the pasted face so you don't get hard edges and it blends in better. click on the layer with the pasted face and use image>adjustments>hue/sturation to mess with the hue to try and match the color. Mess with all the tools to get an idea of what they can do - look at the blur and clone tool. practice, practice... rotate/flip the face to match the old one etc. look at the edit>transform options too.
I suggest looking through this site: http://www.pixel2life.com/tutorials/adobe_photoshop/photo_editing/
This tutorial teaches you how to take and in order to make . I tried it one day and didn't have all that great of a result, hopefully you'll have better luck. If you can get all the way through that tutorial alright though, you should have no problems with what you want to do in the GARM. I would go try it again, but I clicked through some of the links above and eventually ended up on this tutorial, which I've been having a lot of fun with.
