    Anyone every use this software
It is a free download and I am starting to use it a little bit
The information basically has it as an Expanded version of MS PAINT
but . .. with some elements of Photoshop
    [which i know nothing about]

I figured I would try this free thing before investing in Photoshop

I wanted to know if anyone had worked with it
    and
    how it compared to Photoshop

Is that an invitation for me to jump in and rant about pirating software? :)

    To RR:

I have never used paint.net, but before you invest in Photoshop, you ought to look into Photoshop Elements. It's a stripped down, reasonably priced version of Photoshop.

I heard about Paint.Net on somebody's blog a year or two ago I think, but I never bothered using it. I really don't do much photoshop'ing. I have a hard time believing it will replace all the crap Photoshop can do, but then the average person probably doesn't use 95-99% of what Photoshop does. :)

If you want another decent freeware alternative, check out GIMP.

I use Paint.NET some of the stuff you can make is pretty cool the bad part is
cutting out object it's extremely difficult to get a good cut unless you have the
patience. As a free software I would give it a 10 but compared to Photoshop it's just not there. I use Paint.NET because I just don't have the money for it and I don't have any use for anything professional. Check out the forums some of the guys are insane with Paint.NET.

If you want something closer to what Photoshop offers that is free then go with GIMP.
