    Two predictions:

    1) Mexican fans out number U.S fans 4 to 1.

    2) The U.S kicks their ass once again.

Probably not going to be very friendly at all. I hate soccer but I might go to this one with my cousins just to root for USA! We are all Mexicans but I just like pissing off my cousins.

I was at the last one. It was a great atmosphere. It was their first time they played since the a** whooping in the 2002 World Cup. Let's just say the Mexican fans were not happy campers. Many were trying to start fights in the concourse after the game...which finished 0-0.

The ratio wasn't as bad as you think. I'd say it was 50/50. While not what you hope for in a home game, it's not bad considering the location.

I hope this is true, because I'd love to do it again.

I went to the last one that they had here in June...it was my first time attending a professional soccer game. I was so shocked to see how Mexicans acted - they are really crazy when it comes to soccer! Comparing them to the fans at Toyota Center, we look like robots.

Is the Houston 1836 playing or the US team?

    = :(

You, sir... are right. :( We're not looking any better than 4 years ago. I expect a good game, with plenty of scoring... I won't say by whom. :(

BUMP to keep this thread on our football radar, since I missed it a week ago.

Actually, I screwed up on the title and it's Feb. 6th. Watching Mexico lose will have to be an early birthday present for you.

For being the shortest month February always packs a punch for sports and cultural events.

February 2008 is no different From wikipedia:

Feb 2 - 6 Carnival in Brazil perhaps the biggest party on the planet
Feb 3 - Super Bowl XLII in Glendale, Arizona
Feb 10 - 50th annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles, California
Feb 15-17 NBA All-Star Weekend in New Orleans, Louisiana
Feb 17 - 50th annual Daytona 500 race in Daytona Beach, Florida
Feb 24 - 80th Academy Awards Ceremony in Hollywood, California

throw in this friendly between the U.S. and Mexico, Valentine's Day, President's Day, and not to mention a Leap Day (Feb 29, 2008) and a total lunar eclipse on Feb 21 and I'd say this month has more going on than any other.

Oh and my birthday is February 10 so I might be a little biased.

:D Aaaaaa-hahahaha... haa... Heyyyy!

    I can't argue with that, though. :(

What do you predict the outcome will be with what you guys (EE.UU.) have right now, and how badly we (MEheeko) are playing... 10...?

It all depends on the line up that we bring. If it's anything resembling the Copa America line up we'll be in trouble. So 10 sounds about right.

Also, there could be 12 Americans on the field if Edgar Castillo is in the game. ;)
