Saw this when i was looking at the "hack a coke" thread. They have some unreal bending goals in this video. Some of them look like they would be fake with how much they bend making them that much more amazing. http://www.uselessjunk.com/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=3073&mode=nested&order=0&thold=-1
The Roberto Carlos goal has to be either the best free kick ever or top 3 of all time. The look on Barthez's face is classic. I was looking on youtube and saw one of point blank open goal chances that were missed, that was a great one too. If I find it again I'll post it.
Plenty more Futbol shots here: http://www.enyodpsouth.com/index_files/soccerskillvideos.htm Look for Roberto Carlos YIKES! Most of my Salvadoran friends can do that kick: "el chanfle" (with the outside of the shoe, on the outside of the ball, wicked spin!) Damn, I wished I was that good.
The next to last goal is from Dwayne De Rosario, who is the soon to be renamed Houston 1836, it's one of the best I've ever seen. It's up for MLS Goal of the Decade and can be viewed here: http://www.mlsnet.com/MLS/mls/awards/2006/goal_of_the_decade/
Not really related to bending shots but the scorpion save on there has got to be one of the ballsiest moves I've ever seen. If he doesn't time it just right it's a goal.
That was Colombian goalie Carlos "Higuita" during a friendly. No way he does that in a REAL game for points. He was caught many times trying to dribble out of the box by smarter forwards... ... and I just remembered that Roberto Carlos' shot... I was watching it LIVE... ANdrés Cantor of then Univision called it... Here is a BENDING ONE, then... http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-5929729759841098031&q=free+kick SEAMAN:
I remember that game. And people actually had the nerve to say it was a lucky goal b/c he wasn't really shooting it but trying to cross it and got lucky. Horse$hit. Never doubt the genius of Ronaldinho!!!
