It's about to start on ESPN, anyone watching? The Dynamo are well represented with DeRosario and Ching starting while Clark and Robinson are on the bench.

Great game for the MLS. Most in the know will say that Chelsea probably was unfit, especially with so many of their players having played deep into the World Cup. Fantastic goal by De Rosario. The Houston players represented very well. Freddy Adu looked good. I haven't seen him play this season and I was impressed.

I still don't understand how the league doesn't change the date of the Revolution v Chivas USA game. Imagine if Dempsey gets in this game. It might have been more than 1-0.

The stadium looks very nice. My only complaint (and John Terry's, too) was that the grass was clearly too long. It might have something to do with the newness and not wanting to cut it too short, yet. It was clearly slowing the play some.

I missed the game, but it's great to see that the only goal was by a Dynamo player. I'm curious, how well do you think De Rosario would play if he was in the World Cup? It's too bad Canada sucks at soccer.

According to De Rosario, this was "his world cup."

and he freaking scored, thank goodness.

I might like to catch a Dynamo game. I hope we get that soccer stadium soon.

It is too bad because he'll most likely never really have a chance to show off on the international stage. He showed a lot today, if anyone outside of the states was watching. He's very confident on the ball, plays good defense, and has a killer shot from outside the box. He's not very big and could get pushed around a lot if he were to head to Europe. I do think he'll get a chance, though, at some point. Don't be surprised to see him in Europe training with teams once the MLS season lets out. It's a standard thing that happens every year. I believe it's how Brian McBride and Eddie Lewis stuck in England.

I missed the game and forgot to tape it. I hope FSC will replay it sometime. They are about to show Liverpool vs Chelsea from last season. Nice!

Was the ALl-star game any good?

Easy SwoLy, it's only a friendly. I just hope Ronaldinho plays alot.

Sure, thing, Rivaldo. I understand the importance... we could discuss the game at the other thread. DAMN, I am PUMPED. easy swoly... easy... :( I also hope Giovanni Dos Santos plays as well.

How was Schevchenko for Chelsea? Supposedly it's his first start.

He didn't do much. He was playing kind of deeper than I remeber him doing with Ukraine or AC Milan. Drogba was pushed up and kept getting into it with Jimmy Conrad. Ballack was largely invisible as well. If I heard the announcers talk one more time about Ballack's hair, I was going to reach through the tv and kill them. Sean Wright-Phillips & John Terry kept Chelsea in the game in the first half.

It was great that Houston was well represented and the players made a huge impact on the game. DeRo with the winning goal and Robinson with the save off of the goal line, if those two plays don't happen then the outcome is totally different. Clark also had a good game and put some nice moves on Chelsea. Ching did decent but didn't really get a lot of service which he really relies on.

I talked to Dero at the end of the 04 mls season when he was still with san jose and they played dallas in their last match. He said he was heading to europe for trials with a few clubs, i know he trained with Nottingham forest, i forget what other clubs, perhaps blackburn but no one showed sufficient interest or he got lowball offers, i just know he resigned with sanjose and mls.
I havent talked to him in a bit, i guess dynamo fans if they meet him can ask him more, but i'll be coming down to htown for the barca match and i'll probably catch the dynamo practice and ask what went down for him and whats his plans.
