There's a group of Dynamo fans getting together for some pickup games and I figured we could try to get a Clutchfans contingent to show up. It will be small teams (5-7 a team) with small goals. It will be Saturday, Feb 3 at 2:00 at Memorial Park, we will play on the big esplanade at Memorial Park (i.e., the big "island" at the fork in the road after you pass Beck's Prime and the driving range).
It's a pretty decent place to play since it's kind of centrally located and everybody knows where it is. And it's pretty flat which helps.
How are the skill level of the players? I'd like to join in the fun, but I haven't played in a very long time.
Highly variable, there's a few guys that play regularly and are pretty good, there's a bunch (like me) that suck badly. It's all about getting together and having fun.
exactly. we play games on sundays at prospect park in brooklyn when the weather permits. we have guys and gals and good and bad players. we are just out to have fun. the beers afterward are priceless.
Yes. But you can't play. Or, better yet... YES. I'd like to see you run in them... it will be HILARIOUS. "Go for a through pass, Steve-O!!" "What sport do you boys play in Africa... Chase the Monkey...?" You could be goalie, Mister I Can't Keep Up With Fútbol Players. I would have loved to go... but I am already busy the entire day... damn you, mom, why did you have to have a birthday???
