Hahaha....this first highlight shows exactly why I don't like him. He does all that dancing just to flop at the end...

    My vote goes to Messi.

    I will preface with this:

I only saw him score 2 goals in that whole video. Please show me videos where he gets his team involved. I'd like to see him get past 9 defenders, then pass to a wide open guy who scores. I'd like to see him help his national team win the World Cup, or at least a championship in a club league or a national one.

He may be the best juggler and dribbler now, but not the best pro player right now. I don't follow football from Europe too much, so I wouldn't be able to tell you who it is. I know the best is right now in Europe... but can't figure out who. All that dribbling does NOTHING.

    No.

well he can score...I've seen a few english premier league games to take notice...His foot skills is unbelievable, and he can easily beat many defenders but you guys have a point...He isn't a protypical midfielder type that can get everyone else involved.

Messi is mentioned..Who besides does the best job getting everyone supported as a team?

I have to agree with this, Messi is so much fun to watch and any time he touches the ball he's a threat to score.

I don't watch ManU all that much but at least in the past he was much more style over substance. That may have changed over time though.

The best all round player is actually Essien on Chelsea. Ronaldo is probably the best individual player on the planet. i like Messi a lot as well, but he needs to gain some strength, once that happens, its over....he's already a better team player than Ronaldo....

How can you follow football and not follow Europe? A few better than average teams there...

Lionel Messi is a beast. I would probably agree with others in this thread that he's the best player in the world

The way Messi is congested by the double team of defenders and still can time kicking the ball through their legs is amazing.

Uh, you do know that he scored 42 goals last season, as a winger. He also led his team to the Premiership and Champions League titles, including scoring his team's lone goal in the final. Not to mention he's currently the joint top scorer in the Premier League, and his team is top of the table, in the FA Cup and Champions League semi finals, and have already won the Carling Cup and World Club Championship. Oh yeah, and it was his unbelievable goal that allowed his team to advance to the Champions League semifinals on Wednesday. If you haven't seen it, you may want to take a look:

Besides the diving, he obviously is the best player in the world right now. Yes, world. I'd have Messi come in second.

Dude he's god, he can pass defenders and shoot from a long distance. He helps Man U win games, he scores like it's so easy. And to some post above, yes he helped them, last year, Man U won the Champions League (UEFA) and their Premier League champions. Sometimes his diving might upset some people (like the Jazz), but he's still the best player with the best skills.

He can score, but he tries to dance and fall around the field way too often. I'll take Messi or Zlatan.

I might change my mind soon though. That goal he scored against Porto...

    VIVA Ronaldo!

I love the nancy lad but I have to go with Messi as of the 2008-09 season.
Ronaldo was PHENOMENAL last season and as much as I dislike Messi I think he's top drawer.

Thank you Rocketfan007 for replying to Swoly-D's post because you said everything I wanted to say.
