Iverson, Webber, and Wallace should be the frontrunners. If the season ended today, AI would probably get the nod.

I'd give it to CWebb. 1 1/2 games out of first in the West is more impressive than first in the East.

But it looks like Ivey's the favorite, for now.

Allen will probably win it, but I personally think a Western player should deserve it more like CWebb or Wallace.

Chris Webber. It may go to Iverson, but the East is so weak having the record they do isn't too much of an accomplishment. Webber has been able to have another career season in the midst of all his free agent controversy, and has also helped to elevate the games of his teammates to where now they have a chance to contend. Iverson will probably get it, but if I'm voting I think Chris Webber deserves it.

That is BS. Philidelphia has beated enough good western teams this season to prove that they are a legit title contender.

What has Wallace done to deserve even a nomination for MVP?

It should go to Webber, Iverson or Shaq(ugh) before Wallace.

Just like we beat the Lakers and Blazers 4 times last year-- we weren't legit title contenders. We also beat the Jazz and Kings if I remember correctly. I never said they can't win a title-- assuming they come out of the weak East anything can happen in a 7 game series. I was just saying if Iverson and the Sixers were in the West like Webber and the Kings, their record would be a lot worse. I'd be willing to bet if any of the top teams in the West played in the East, they would have a better record than Philly. The argument I have a problem with is how Iverson should be given MVP based on the success of the Sixers in a weak Eastern conference. To me, having your team competing for the top seed in the West, playing great individual and team ball, and raising the level of the games of the players around you is what an MVP is. That is Chris Webber.

    Beated???

    Good Lord!
    lol

Anyway, i think that webber, iverson, or Duncan should get it.

Timmy has really raised his level of play since the beginning of the season.

I see that people are saying that the "Answer," (For people who don't know that is Allen Iverson). Iverson for MVP? What!!!!!! Now, now, Iverson is a hell of a player, personally i have been following him since his years in G'Town, however, the MVP has to go to C. Web. Chris Weber is one of the most dominent player in the NBA. In a conference where any of those teams would dominate the eastern conference, Weber has fair extremely well with his fellow power fowards like Wallace, and Garnet. Weber can pass, has great range, plays excellent defense, and can run the floor. Not only that, he is showing spurts of his young talented days as a member of the FAB FIVE. Whatever someone can, Weber could do better. Iverson, is a ball hog, a very good ball hog indeed. If Weber shot the amount of shots as Iverson does, Weber would be scoring on the 40's and 50's every night. The big difference between Weber and Iverson is that, Weber can play both down low and outside. Iverson strictly and shooter and a driver, both things Weber can do, my i add. If you just look at Weber's numbers, they speak for themselves. He was put on a team, the Kings who were dismal before he arrived, Weber is the main reason why that organization is where it is now. Weber should get all the credit for his work in turning around a team. Off the court aswell, we don't hear him in trouble or making rap music which btings up so much controversy. Iverson is the best one on one player, no doubt, but basketball is a team game, and with Mutombo now on the Sixers, it gives even more freedom for Iverson to shoot more because Mutombo will just rebound. Name the guards, that Iverson guards in the East? Not too many big names, for Weber, night and night out, he plays against the elite Power Forwards. So it may seem close for the MVP award, however, Weber gets my nod in being the MVP this year.

I know he isn't standing out, but have yall seen Shaq's numbers across the board? He might be having his best all-around season.
