Sacramento, LA, Minnesota or San Antonio? Minnesota holds a 1.5 game lead over the other three teams. It's still possible for all 4 teams to end up in a tie for the 1 seed if the T-Pups lose 1 of their final 2 games and the other 3 teams win 2 of their final 3 games. Not all of the tie breakers are set and all 4 teams have all of their final games against the West, but a few are clear. Minnesota holds the tie breaker over the Lakers and Kings. The Wolves and Spurs split their series, so it will come down to either Conference record or(if they tie there) Division record, where the Spurs hold the edge. They have 2 games remaining: at home vs. Utah & on the road vs. Memphis. The Kings still have 1 game against LA, but currently have a 2-1 lead in the season series. They split the series with San Antonio. They currently have the best Division record of any of the 4 teams and 3rd best Conference record. Sacramento has 3 games remaining: at home vs. the Lakers & road games against Denver and Golden State. LA has the tie breaker over the Spurs. The Lakers currently have the second best Division record, but the worst Conference record of the 4 teams. They also have 3 games remaining: road games vs. Sacramento & Portland and at home vs. Golden State. San Antonio split their series' with the Kings and Wolves and lost the series to LA, however they may have the easiest schedule going on the road to face the Clippers and Blazers before returning home to end the season against the Nuggets. Unless Minnesota chokes these last two games, they should go into the playoff with home court all the way. The 2 spot should be decided by the LA/Sacramento game. I'd rather have LA in this scenario. We've proven we can beat them, plus <conspiracy theory activated>I'm sure David Stern would love a 7 game series between Yao and Shaq in the first round</conspiracy theory ended>.
Doesn't matter who play because if Van Gundy lets Steve play then we can beat any team. If Van Gundy continues to throw it in to a tired Yao all the time they are going to get swept.
If JVG would have let Steve play as you suggest, we would not be in the playoffs but we would be looking who to pick in the lottery.
So you are saying one win against Denver took us to the playoffs?? The season consist of 90 games and not just the game that the team clinched the playoffs!!
