So which 'Non-Rotation Guy' gets a shot now?

All year long, I have been watching our PG play and sort of cringing. I have always been of the opinion that Rafer is a better actual 'point guard' than either MJ or SF, but that's kind of like saying that being stabbed is better than being shot.

If only Rafer could develop a dependable outside shot, we would probably be undefeated right now.

    But apparently he can't.

So I have been asking myself how we can get an PG who can shoot and still handle the PG duties that need to be handled? Luther ain't it. Neither is MJ, and SF has never shown the right skillset for our needs, ever. Those three guys are just 2's who *have* to play the 1 sometimes, and that is not how we are going to win a championship.

Then I realized - We already HAVE a PG who can (allegedly) shoot dependably from outside - Brooks.

Then all of a sudden, TMac gets hurt, just enough that we will have a few games to play in the enxt week or so without him.

Meaning, one of our 'non-rotation' guys is going to get bumped up, at least for the time being, until TMac gets right again.

So, the question is, which guy gets a nibble while TMac is out?

Looks like it might be Snyder, as he was the guy last night, but I wonder if RA might not decide to give Brooks a taste, just to see how he handles himself. We already know what SF can do, in the best of times, and now does not appear to be the best of times for SF anyway.

The other guy could be Landry, especially since the refs have apparently decided that neither Chuckie nor Shane are going to be allowed to actually play any games this season.

So, who's it gonna be? Frankly, I would like to see both Brooks *and* Landry get a few nibbles over the next few games, just to see if there is any glimmer there.

The one guy I don't think it's gonna be is Stevie...

Brooks was so bad in the last preseason game I don't know if he's a viable option even considering how bad Rafer & James have been. More PT for Head is the logical answer, i think.

The problem has been a lack of focus probably more than anything else. In the second half of the lakers game they actually looked like they give a damn. Wasn't like that the previous 10 quarters.

The way Luther has played he should get LESS time. AB should be given a shot before him, and if he fails, so be it. Just like Rafer & MJ, Luther is a known quantity. After watching him the first 9 games, there is no reason to think he will get better. The guy is lost. His one attempt to finish at the rim last night was worse than pathetic.

Of course, unless other issues are involved, SF should get the chance before AB.

Thats what JVG did when Tmac was out for a few games last year. Head is already in the rotation playing a few minutes a game, expect him to take some of Tmacs minutes at the 2 spot. Unless our offense starts to seriously sputter, I don't really expect to see Francis.

Kirk Snyder got lit up by Kobe last night. He was the worst defender who guarded Kobe last night.
