So when the regular refs get back, will people get back to saying the NFL is rigged?

    Now that everyone sees how good, in reality, the real referees are, will they still say the League is rigged when their team has a few bad calls made on them or will they realize that referees are human and no matter how good they are still make mistakes?

    Yeah, I know about the NBA rogue ref but that doesn't mean it's a top-down operation brought about by any sports league to help ratings and what have you.

    Nobody is saying the NFL is rigged, regular officials or not. The NFL and the NBA officiating are nothing alike. This is just a matter of poorly trained officials that aren't built for the Pro's. It's not about human beings and not making mistakes, it's really about how games are handled and how terrible some of the calls have been. I've even seen come college rules enforced, most likely by accident. It's not their fault, these officials aren't trained for the pro's.

    Yeah, the NFL being rigged isn't a common argument and its definitely not one that is ever taken seriously.

    I'd say there is more of a chance of the game being rigged now than with the original refs. These guys pretty much know they're temporary so why not throw a game in your favor?

    I'm not saying it is happening just that I believe it would be more likely with temp than permanent officials.

    After what happened in that PIT/OAK game, if I was a player, I'd be speaking out about my safety. Too bad the NFL has no incentive to work with the refs cause we all keep watching.

    no one has ever said the nfl is rigged. the nfl is where the small determined few can take out a power house, unlike the nba with all their star treatment, which according to their commissar does not exist.

    I've heard many people say the NFL is rigged. First of all, there's this:

    But beyond that, which may be a cheap way to sell books, I've seen it intermittently over the years, most notably when members of a message board I was on decided to organize a protest to NFL over Super Bowl XL in Detroit. It made national headlines (USA Today).

    I don't hear people complain about the NFL being rigged much, aside from bitter Seahawks fans.
