I say it's Yao Scola Battier Artest Brooks --> until Lowry figures out the system in a few weeks. top bench guys. Landry Wafer Lowry ---> again until he overtakes Brooks for the starting assignment.
Lowry is a pass first PG who actually can run an offense. So i'd say lowry when he figures out the system. For now it'll be brooks since he knows the team. But i shudder to think how it will be like with no true pg in the starting lineup. I consider brooks a 6'0 shooting guard...
Dido. He is not going to take the starting job from Aaron, as predicted he is now our starting PG. Lowry will be an awesome back up given time.
I say Aaron gets the starting nod for this season. Lowry being new to the team and still relatively young, we can't expect him to come in and automatically become a top rotation player. Brooks needs to play at a high level for us, in my opinion.
I think eventually Lowry will start for sure. One simple reason for that is his D. AB runs the risk of being murdered by some of the bigger pg's out of the blocks. For that reason alone I think hes better being used as impact on the bench while Lowry can just be a steady player with the starts who can handle and pass while theres other scorers on the court. Yao and Artest hit the bench you then have two legit scorers in AB and Wafer hitting the floor. I'm guessing eventually they will stick with a starter but the minutes will be distributed on a game by game basis imo.
I'd figure, once he gets comfortable, Lowry starts - better option to run the offense and feed the other starters (Yao) on more of a half court set... and then AB comes in to run spark the second unit - like what Make James was doing on his first go 'round.
I think that with this line up, Yao will be forced to be the focus. He tends to move over for McGrady. If any positive comes out of this line up, it is that Yao will truly be the clear #1 guy. We shall finally see how well Yao can carry a team. And the Team he has around him might not be a star studed one, but it is a solid team.
He's actually a shoot first point guard who plays more as a shooting guard. That's why they got Mike Conley Jr in Memphis. He's good at penetration though, which is nice to have... Rafer was incapable of getting into the lane and finishing. His floaters were the most ridiculous things I've seen.
