    im on a budget so i gave four friends $10 gift certificates to best buy..as for my parents..my mom and dad picked the stuff out and i decided on one to give each of them..
    what i received
    a computer-866 mhz, cd burner
    a cell phone with a university of texas face
    a university of texas longhorn animal that plays the eyes of texas
    some body stuff(curve) like deodorant, cologne
    clothes
    a university of texas throw
    metallicas ride the lightning and reload and korns issues
    a university of texas football hat
    25 dollar gift certificate from academy
    and 185-190 dollars from my mom and her side of the family..my dads side comes in this weekend..it was a lot more than i expected but while the gifts are nice thats not what i care about

    I just got back in town and haven't had the official Houston x-mas yet, but here's a brief rundown.

    gave:

    mom - flannel PJ's, gift cert to Bed, Bath & Beyond

    dad - BB King/Eric Clapton CD & round of golf anywhere he chooses

    cousins - candles, incense, gift certs

    got: gift certs, leather jacket(yeah baby!!), a healthy cooking grill(cool!), other odds and ends

    To Son: Baby Basketball Hoop (he's one, so got to start him early!), an "activity table", some little K-Swiss and Nikes, a toy wireless phone... he also got a drum set, and a "Blue's Clues" chair form grandparents, other stuff too...

    To Wife: Money (we both concentrated on our son for Christmas)

    To Dad: Caller ID phone for his bedroom, Sony "Dream Machine" (has a nice sound to it) radio/alarm clock, pictures of my son

    To In-Laws: I can't remember, most likely it was pictures of my son, maybe more, but my wife got that stuff

    Friends/other relatives: PSone games, cd, vhs, gift cards, etc.

    A Star Wars collectable (Jar-Jar Binks of all characters)
