You know, the one that looks like this:

    PG Miller,Boykins
    SG JR Smith, Julius Hodge
    SF Anthony, Demarr Johnson
PF Martin, F. Elson, Reggie Evans, Nene, E. Najera,Jamal Sampson, L. Kleiza
    C. Camby, Nene, Sampson

    A little top heavy, no?

I think somebody might win the Northwest Division with a losing record...

If we seriously want to get out of the first round, we need to get the 5th seed so we can play against whoever wins the Northwest division.

It is if you have both Nene and Sampson backing up both positions. Also, I believe Elson signed with the Spurs.

    PG Miller, Boykins
    SG JR Smith, Hodge
    SF Anthony, Johnson
    PF Martin, Nene, Najera
    C Camby, Evans

I doubt you'll see guys like Sampson or Kleiza on the court that much, probably on IR.

Still, 7 bigs is a lot. Especially in a league that's increasingly more focused on guard play. That backcourt is *thin* and *weak*. Utah and Minnesota may actually both have legitimate shots at winning the Northwest this year.

From what I understand DeMarr has virtually agreed to come back but just hasn't signed the contract yet.

Doesn't work that way anymore. The three division winners and the next best record gets the top 4 seeds, BUT the top 4 seeds are arranged by record. So a weak division winner will most likely be seeded 4th.

That's why he's saying we need to be at 5th. :)

No points for reading. For some reason I was thinking he said 6th seed. Oh well.

There's a very good chance one of those guys will be shot, so that will help cut it down a little bit.

Look like a good trading partner for the Rockets, don't they?

We have two dozen guards, they have too many forwards ...

    Correct.

Also correct. If it's K-Mart, I don't rule George Karl being the one with the gun.

We've been hearing a few rumors of dumping a big for a shooter via trade, so I'm not worried. Something will happen. Just not sure it's going to be the blockbuster I was expecting this summer.

EDIT: My opinion on the depth chart.

    PG - Miller, Boykins
SG - JR Smith, Diawara, Dermarr, Hodge
    SF - Melo, Kleiza
    PF - K-Mart, Najera, J. Smith, Evans
    C - Camby, Nene, Sampson

    A. Carter (PG) might make the team as a camp invitee, but I doubt it.

My bet is KMart aims at Karl and shots himself in the foot ;)

I think he meant that Julius Hodges was already shot at?

None of those guys are reliable from long-distance. Melo was good in the World Championships but I doubt he'll have that kind of touch during the year. Miller was never very good, and JR Smith is decent but nothing to write home about.

I would just clamp down on the paint and let them shoot because I dont trust a single player in that lineup to reliably hit a jump shot
