So no DMO/Casspi/Hamilton/Garcia for the rest of the playoffs?

I get that Canaan and Covington are rookies and have minimal experience. But are we gonna stick with this 8-man rotation forever? It seems like sometimes when TJones or Parsons are in a slump, Garcia/DMO can take a few minutes so they can rest. Our starters average like 40min a game...

I feel like TJones has actually been playing well against Portland's 2nd unit. I like him coming off the bench.

I don't think we se Garcia or DMo unless certain matchups call for it. I doubt we'll see them this series for sure, especially since we seem to have found a rotation that works.

TJones defense is bad but yeah, he got a few offensive rebounds tonight and they were huge.

We'll see if we make it to the next round.

Best case scenario: they get minutes in garbage time.
Worst case scenario: someone fouls out or gets injured.

If anyone gets minutes it will be Garcia (unfortunately).

Garcia will be playing in the WCF against Durant.

I wish we had tried DMo on Aldrige early on. He is big enough, unlike TJ.

I wonder how do these guys feel being forced to sit on the bench and only watch the game. They must feel powerless and useless not being able to contribute at all.

Asik is playing well against Aldridge but when he sits I think putting Howard is a mistake. Not because he isn't good but because it risks foul trouble for him. Late in the game fine but not early. That's where I thought DMo could help but if McHale didn't play him tonight with all the foul trouble it ain't gonna happen.

Wouldn't mind seeing some D-Mo. Different coach would definitely utilize them

i still dont understand why mchale doesnt try dmo for couple of mnts. I also don't understand why they don't run any plays for daniels.

I think it is all about the match ups. Right now it looks like McHale is going for the TT and the rotation pretty much stays as is (against Portland). The next round against SA or Dallas will present a different constellation and would probably require a different rotation.

Why putting Dwight on LMA is wrong is because LMA can hit those 18' jumpers that bring Dwight out of the paint. Without Asik in the game we'll just get eaten alive in rebounds.

Helllll noooooo idk what you guys see in dmo he can't rebound he can't move his ft on defense and he rushes every shot he takes. Not to mention he stands out by the 3 pt line and bricks it. He was 10% from 3 at one point in the season. This is the playoffs we have no bench. #dealwithit

It´s the playoffs. In the playoffs teams play their best player for as long as possible, while during the season you limit their minutes a bit to preserve their energy some and avoid injuries. And you don`t want to play someone for just a couple of minutes because it hurts the flow. Most teams go with an 8-9 men rotation, some even with a 7 men rotation. I´d have expected us to go with 9 and getting DMo some minutes, but I am alright with this rotation. I don`t think that`s the reason for us struggling.

I'm no fan of the 8 man rotation.

If you ever wondered why Parsons often only plays well in the first half,
I reckon it's cos he's got fresh legs and when he gets tired, his game
    drops off, understandably so.

And ditto JHarden's seemingly lack of trying, sometimes. He's trying to pace
himself for a 45 minute game.

Rotate 1 (or more) players in and instead of getting Parsons and
Harden to play > 40 mins, around 35 would be better.

This problem is magnified if we go into OT, which we have 3 times so far.

DMo and Garcia would be my pick.

Garcia did not even get a chance in these playoffs, only very few minutes, and it baffles me. He's a veteran who received minutes at the end of the regular season, what looked like to get in rhythm. He can defend and if offense is a problem, then that's because we don't move the ball. Garcia is good when the ball has moved a few times, defense is late and he can get a clear shot off in rhythm. He was trying to force some threes, sometimes with a guy on him and trying to create his own but that is not his game. This is on McHale, not Garcia who wants to show he can also score but I guess he's on a shorter leach then Lin or whoever ever was. Terrible coaching job

McHale didn't do his job good, but u shouldn't blame his everything
McHale can play a rookie, why didn't he played some players? Mayne u didn't understand that, but u should be easy to find the solution by yourself.

I think the rotation has been good. If Harden plays like he is supposed to, then the rockets probably would have won this series in 4 games.

In the next round of playoffs, I could see some possible changes in the rotation depending on who we play.
