I waiting for her, Kathy Lee Gifford, and John Tesh to make an album together. Maybe David Hasselhoff could work with them too. **puke** That woulld have to be one of the Seven Signs. ------------------ "I have no regrets except that I wasn't up to keep Randy from getting on that plane." --Ozzy Osbourne on guitarist Randy Rhodes
I was stuck in a waiting room reading an article about Celine Dion's life and baby. This is kind of a disgusting story in my opinion: He has managed her career since she was 12. He divorced his second wife when she was 15. He and Celine officially announced themselves as a couple when, according to my calculations, Celine would have only been 18 or so. (In other words, no telling when this actually started! I'm surprised her family didn't mind this middle-aged man preying on their daughter. But they seem to like him - I guess he made them enough money.) They didn't get married, though, until 1994. Probably looked better for publicity reasons. By the time a woman is 25 or 26, no one cares if she and her husband have an age difference, even if they would have cared a few years ago. (I know this from experience.) Then, when they wanted to have a baby, he was older and not in the best of health. He didn't have enough little swimmers. So they did the in vitro thing - Celine says her baby has a frozen "twin" somewhere and she'll go and get it when she feels like it. Whether or not this part is weird to you will depend on your views of in vitro fertilization... but I don't really like the way her relationship with her husband started. Why do all these singers marry their older, divorced managers??? ------------------ Isabel,clutchcity.net lurker since 1996 All your base are belong to Heypartner.

God help us all! Celine Dion to Make Comeback in 2003 in Las Vegas MONTREAL (Reuters) - French Canadian pop diva Celine Dion, currently on a three-year sabbatical from show business as she takes care of her infant son, said on Thursday she would make a comeback in a theatrical musical in Las Vegas in 2003. Dion released a statement saying she had accepted an offer to perform in an exclusive, extended engagement at Caesars Palace, starting in March 2003. Dion's performance will be the focus of a theatrical presentation directed by Franco Dragone, creator of the striking Cirque du Soleil shows ``Quidam,'' ``O'' and ``Mystere.'' The Quebec-born artist is famous for such hits as ``My Heart Will Go On'' from the movie ``Titanic.'' A new 4,000-seat theater, designed to resemble the Colosseum in Rome, is being constructed for Dion's engagement, which is set to run for at least three years. Dion, 32, gave birth to her first child on Jan. 25. The baby boy was conceived through in vitro fertilization. The singer was recently named the world's best-selling female artist, selling more than 125 million albums worldwide in the 1990s. Dion and her husband-manager, Rene Angelil, will produce the new show, in association with Dragone. Dion and Angelil were married in Montreal in 1994. He has managed Dion's career since she began singing as a teenager in the town of Charlemagne near Montreal. ------------------ The internet is about the free exchange and sale of other people's ideas. - Futurama
