We have the personel to match up Big or Small against anyone. Our Frontcourt is so loaded.

    Rafer
    TMac
    Artest
    Scola
    Yao

    TMac
    Battier
    Artest
    Scola
    Yao

    AB
    Battier
    Artest
    Scola
    Dorsey

    Rafer
    Battier
    Artest
    Dorsey
    Yao

So many good combos depeding on the opposition. And you have glue guys like Chuck, Deke and the like... so nice this year

    Barry
    McGrady
    Artest
    Scola
    Yao

    Barry
    McGrady
    Battier
    Artest
    Yao

And then there's the weird lineup of the roster where the back court is bigger than the front line:

    Barry
    McGrady
    Harris
    Hayes
    Dorsey

I was trying to set up a potential rotation and depth chart for the Rockets this year, and it has become clear with the addition of Artest we have so many interchangeable parts its really amazing!!!

    check it out

    we could have potentially at

    Pg: Alston/ Brooks /Barry/ Francis/ T Mac.....(head)

    Sg: T Mac /Artest/ Barry/Battier/ Francis.. (head)

    Sf: Battier/ Artest/ Barry/ T Mac /....(mike harris)

    Pf: Scola/Artest/ Dorsey/Hayes/Landry? ..(mike harris)

    C: Yao/ Deke?/Dorsey

Thats alot of interchangeable parts!!!....I still would like to see the Rockets get a "young" BIG at least 6'10- 6'11 that can play 4 and 5 with leaping ability and good agility (a scorer isnt nessacary) ,also a point guard like brevin knight that knows nothing but passing with decent quicks.....

In any event....HOUSTON ROCKETS will be WORLD CHAMPS 09 10 11

I think this is really key. I'd like the guy to also have good bball IQ too and be willing to play tough D alongside Yao when we face some of the bigger frontcourts in the league.

I was looking at some of those lineups and i just want to make it clear that battier can not play shooting guard. He never has. Artest can and has done it in the past. I'm glad we got him because we needed alot of help and Artest is one of the most versatile players in the league.

How is Hayes NOT in the lineup? Swap Artest with hayes. and Battier with t-mac and we got ourselves a brickfest. :D

    SG: Battier
    SF: Artest
    PF: Scola
    C: Yao

Agreed, I'd dare say Luther handles the ball better than him.

I think this will be the lineup that finishes close games

Battier guards some of the best shooting guards in the game. Regardless of position, all he has to do is defend and hit jumpers. Not that hard for him to play SG, especially with his defensive skills.

I agree if him and Artest are on the court together you can bet your chops that they will be marking both the SG and SF positions depending on whos the better match up. T-mac will probably still play SG on offensive and even mark the PG depending on the match up. But on offensive Artest will probably play guard and Battier his normal SF position

I got an idea, lets make a thread and see how many starting line ups we can make excluding Rafer!

Except ... when Brent Barry is your point, Dikembe Mutombo can be shooting guard. All you really need is sufficient shooting on the floor. But I grant you that we need at least one guy on the floor who can get his own shot, and Battier, though he nobly tries, isn't that.

I can almost see Deke shooting line drive hook shots from the 3pt line.

Any way you arrange it, it stills looks good. So if it looks good and smells good, it must be good. If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck it's probably a duck. Anyways, I'm ready to see them hit the floor! Go Rockets!!

I would pay to watch that lineup at the start of second quarters
