The team with the rookie QB the Texans were supposed to demolish on week 1. The Texans now have all hopes on them losing tonight against the Bengals. interesting how this turns out.
and if The Bengals do win tonight next week would be Texans vs. Bengals do they really want to play us again?
EDIT: not sure if you wanna play the Jets after losing to them.... If I'm Cincinnati, I'd win and take my chances. Besides... if NE finds a way to win and go to the AFC championship, you'd want to have a chance at Home Field for that game as well.
Would have been a lot simpler had we been ready to start the season and taken care of business vs the Jets when we had the opportunity. This should be a lesson that every single game is important.
I definately agree with this post.We can gripe all we want and blame Cincy if we don't get in the playoffs. But it all falls back on us in the end.
Great idea, I'll give Doc Brown a call and see if his Dalorean is out of the shop. Hopefully he got that Mr Fusion addon. Plutonium is still a pain, even in 2010.
How weak would it be for the Jets to coast into the playoffs with wins over Carolina, Buffalo, Tampa and two playoff teams rolling over?
I've been up for 24 hours. Just came off a 12 hour shift watching my newborn, supposed to be at work at 9. Needless to say I took off and won't go to sleep because I have to watch the jet game. I must know as it all goes down. It's freaking killing me
You really didn't need a thread for this thought of yours that could have gone in the WATCHING thread, dude. But, yes. Spoiler
Last year the Patriots went 11-5 and DIDNT make the playoffs. Can you imagine if that happened to the Texans THIS year? Thats almost a worse slap in the face then backing in to the playoffs by beating scrubs.
Yes, 2007. Based on their results since then, something tells me that it was deserved that they did not make the playoffs.
How lucky are the jets? They have their last two games against tough teams...and both teams end up handing them victories, enabling them to make the playoffs.
To add to that... How lucky is Dirty Sanchez? That hot dog-eating, interception-throwing bum got his rookie ass dragged into the postseason by his team's defense and running game.
The league will always seem to be rigged toward NY over HOU.... But, in the end... two made field goals vs. Indy and we have a 50% shot at being in. One less fumble... or pick.... I'm happy we finally saw a winning record. ...but missing the playoffs due to a team CHOOSING to avoid us because we had beat them in October 28-17 in their house and using the game today as a free look at the Jets playbook is... The suck.
