since so many here are experts in spotting douches. if you saw phelps walking down the street and had no idea who he is... would you think douche? (lol @ kidd's expression) (look Keith Jones!) at what point does badassery overcome douchery. (yes making up words!)
Michael Phelps is U-L-G-Y. It's so funny how he always says he's lost for words. I think he might not know many words. He's a really good swimmer on the flip side.
Phelps is cool. He brought home the hardware when expected. I don't judge guys by their clothing, sorry.

I guess thats why it's not good to judge a book by his cover. The dude seems to be a cool cat. The 1st pic got me thinking, one of my boys on the Houston Dynamo was just on the US Olympic soccer team and he got to take pictures with Jason Kidd among others but I think his favourite is the one with Tina Thompson.(He's a houston boy so he has love for the Comets). But back to the topic, I agree w/pun, I wouldn't judge him by his clothing.
He probly felt like he had to wear something "urban" to feel cool with the NBA dudes. I hope everyone who says they dont judge phelps by his clothes applies that attitute towards everyone, regardless of his/her olympic medal count
