...and it was a fine nice little trip. I was in Arlington the first night, Ft. Worth the second day, and Dallas that night. I had been to Big D once before (hard to believe only once since I lived in Houston for 13 years, but then again, last I checked Houston ain't close to Dallas). Anyway, I basically went to a couple Rangers games, the Stockyards, and a total of 6 museums (the father loves museums and they were actually pretty good). Modern Art Museum of Ft. Worth was nice, Amon Carter was good, and the Crow Collection of Asian Art was the best. Anyway, I've got a couple of pics and one seriously odd one at the end. Now granted y'all might not care to see D/FW/A in pics since you might have been there, but I think I need to post some just to get in the Dallas mood: Nice view of a nice ballpark with a bad location Nice sunset at the game. Of course the Rangers lose Some type of cattle at The Stockyards This Ft. Worth building looked interesting Just had to take the pic And here's the point of the thread: Dallas...wtf?! That's right outside the Bank of America building downtown in the Museum area. What the hell was the artist thinking (I mean could they be any bigger???) and what was Dallas thinking when they decided to show that right by a busy road. It's a road hazard; it causes distractions... I found it pretty damn funny and got like 3 or 4 pics of my and my dad getting teabagged by a horse statue in Dallas. Now how many people can say that???
nice pics... the one with the cow..looks like it has mad cow disease...buildings were nice..the one at the stadium..looks like a video game..and the one with the horse proves the saying "hung like a horse"
They don't look that big to me.... maybe about the size of a pea? I guess it depends on the resolution of your screen.... Seriously though, I don't think that the size of the jewles is completely unproportional - they might be a little bit overdone, but I guess the horse the artist modelled that after had big ones... But then again, it's been about 5 years since I last worked with horses.
They used to have a horse statue with a huge package like that out in front of a barbecue place in Clear Lake. Nothing like the sight of a horse dong to get you in the mood for some brisket!
I don't know what's stranger - a statue of a horse with large genetalia, or a man who feels compelled to take mutliple pictures of a horse statue's large genetalia.
Oh, man... so it's actually testicles to which they are referring when that saying goes "hung like a horse"? I thought it was the other thing. Alas, my nickname I've had since childhood shall change.
"...and got like 3 or 4 pics of my and my dad getting teabagged by a horse statue in Dallas." ____________ You now own the trump card to any argument you may have in the future with your father.
I was thinking the same thing...Did you eat at any good restaurants? I'm curious as I think Houston has the best places too eat and the best variety...I'm biased though...
I went to Dallas a couple of weeks ago. I passed by American Airlines Arena and I wanted to throw up.
A problem with taking pics of an unusual looking horse with my dad? Well when it's written like that it does seem a bit odd, haha. But it was just one of those things in life when your immediate thought is wtf?!!? Why??? And I highly doubt the father has any clue what teabagging means anyway which is why, say if we ever get into an argument, I hold the picture as blackmail. Ahhhh, anyway...I did pass by AAC and had no idea it looked like an old train station/airline hangar. Interesting, but absolutely nothing around the arena except for the whole freaking downtown being constructed. And I completely agree about Houston BBQ. Goode Co...(drooling) I was going to continue on to H-town but I had an exam yesterday that I had to "study" for. Damn summer literature.
