Which probably interests only me - but I'm stoked so I'm sharing anyway.

ordered from usa custom guitars - www.usacustomguitars.com

    The specs

1.650" nut width: same as most of the early Fenders - both Tele and Strat - regardless of what you read. I support this with accurate measurements of those instruments and not factory specs which usually tell you they are
    1 5/8"...

6130 frets. The same as most Gibsons.

25" scale length. In between a Gibson and a Fender but is designed so that the neck pocket compensates and allows it to be used on a standard 25 1/2" scale length instrument.

Compound radius fingerboard from 7 1/4" to 10" - meaning vintage Fender at the nut and Gibson at the 22nd fret. Which reminds me - 22 frets

Flame maple with Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard

Abalone dot inlays for side and fretboard.

Unfinished as it will have a see-through emerald green dye on the headstock and nitro finish (by me).

Modern strat headstock with 1963 strat specs for neck thickness and shape.

    it's a gonna' be a sweetie!

So what kind of body are you going to attach it to? Strat style body or something else?

I just got a matched set of Lollar Vintage T pickups (neck and bridge) delivered yesterday. Gonna install them on my blonde '83 American Standard Telecaster. I just had a Gibson Burstbucker 2 installed on my 1989 American Standard Telecaster (after getting it routed for a humbucker). All for some Carl Hayn sessions I'm doing in mid-September. CD will be out in Dec or Jan.

Meanwhile, I am continuing to practice sweep picking arpeggios on my PRS.

    The guitar fun never ends.

awww, sanity on a board of crazy wood...

it's going on that green mahogany tele I posted a pick of a while back. The used warmoth neck I bought at a pawn shop has too flat a radius and is too wide at the nut for this guitar. The guitar sounds so damn good that I decided it was worth the effort to find the right neck.

Let me know how you like those pickups. Sounds cool...

Same as the one below except the headstock and hardware are black...and mine only has the circle dot inlays (not the birds). The pick-ups appear to be the exact same. I have to say it has great tone and playability. It cost me about $1200 used with barely a scratch on it. My previous Jackson guitar, which I bought a while back at $750 new, sounds like crap compared to this guitar. I also hate changing strings on non-PRS guitars with those damn tremolos. The locking tuners on the PRS are just awesome, changing strings is a breeze, and the guitar stays in tune.

damn, i would kill just to hold on. I remember I went to guitar center and they had them up on the wall, low enough to go grab it and play but .. i was so intimidated by them .. yea i know, what a puss. But I just didnt want to mess it up or anything haha. then the next time i went i was like ok im gonna play it this time, and they ended up moving them behind a counter really high. :(

The MP3 files on the Lollar website sound righteous, plus I heard great things from friends and read great reviews on the internet, so I went for it.

Yea, they put the PRS guitars near, or behind, the counter...sometimes really high up. The best thing you can do is retire to one of their play rooms and get one of the sales guys to keep bringing you new models to play. They will even tune it for you prior while you play another. It's like having your own personal guitar technician. That's how I tested out their PRS guitars before I bought one used on Ebay.

By the way, can any of you play "Cliffs of Dover" by Eric Johnson? Any tips? LOL! For some reason, that song is making a comeback. I've been hearing it a lot on the radio.

those look cool man. Have you ever tried these out?

always wanted to try some but I'll wait 'til the next build.

As for Cliffs of Dover - no (meaning I haven't learned it), but I've been fortunate enough to hear EJ play the tune with me and two other people in the room. In this room actually:

    It was sweet.

That's way cool, Brock! How did you get in that room, i.e. what's your connection?

What if I would have said "Working Man" by Alex Lifeson? Where's your pic with Alex? :p

Very familiar with Lindy Fralin's pickups. I like them, but the Lollars have better output and tone. They are like Rio Grande Tallboys on steroids.
