Im trying to get a web address for ex. gummistore.com
but when people type in this web address i want it to redirect them to my store that I have already created on picturetrail.com

Im on a very tight budget, and want to see if I coudl do this myself or as cheaply as possible. I dont have a lot of money to pay a web designer to do a store for me. But a web address is the next step. I want to make business cards for my store, but I dont want it to say www.picturetrail.com/07527986529865 etc.

    can anyone help me???

    Thanks!

Well all you basically have to do is buy the Domain name. Most companies that you buy the domain name from like "godaddy" will let you just mess with the domains settings and tell it to redirect to "www.blank.com" This is usually done in the control panel of the domain name service you get. That way you can just pay for the name and have it redirect without buying a server to host anything.

There's a free service called www.dyndns.org which is just dynamic address names that you can create free or nearly free. Once you're signed up, they have redirection options that you can setup within there. Its the service that I use mostly for work and the redirection work fairly well.

I have used godaddy for a long time. A dot-com is 8.95 per year. Just log in and type in the re-directed URL. They have great phone support 24/7 although not toll-free. It's a piece of cake.
