Uh......ya know what??? It was pretty good!! I was a little uncomfortable with the kissing and all...but from a story point of view..it was really good. The acting and cinematography was outstanding...what beautiful landscape. What are your thoughts?
i saw it a few months back. it was pretty good acting, and the cinematography was good as well. having said that it wasn't the best movie of 2005, and i'm glad it didn't win.
I definitely turned my head and wouldn't watch some parts. Call me whatever you want, there were some things I just didn't want to see when watching a movie. Other than that, it was great. The ending was actually very sad/good.
I wonder how I would feel with all the kissing and crap.... i doubt I'd be bothered, I mean I watch alot of gory movies and stuff and I don't really get bothered...so...I guess I'll have to watch and see
Well it was a little disturbing. Nothing gory...just maybe too realistic. But that is life and I have no problem with gay men. I don't understand it...but then again I don't understand why people cut off heads in other parts of the world to make a point. There is a lot I don't understand....not my place to try.
yes, she and Michelle Williams made the movie on a side note regarding Anne, if you haven't seen Havoc.... why not?
I thought the movie was good but people went over the top with it about it being best picture. the ending was certainly unexpected. but a lot of the talk of it being a great movie was just because of the gay scenes. if we are talking about gay themed movies there is one from a few years back called "its my party" that I thought was much better. it certainly didn't have the beautiful cinematography but I thought the story and character development was much better. it was basically about a couple who was together for a long time but then had a bad breakup because one got AIDS (yes people can be immune to AIDS). the one who got sick had a party planned where he would kill himself so he wouldn't have to suffer from slowly dying from the disease.
I could watch Heath Ledger make out with a wall and still enjoy the movie... But man, those hetero sex scenes were way graphic compared to Ennis and Jacks' kissing scenes.
STUPID ENDING. Could have been better, or they could have at least extended the scene that shows the flashback of the mustached gay dude, or how it developed. I thought it was COOL that the director showed how the top dude SPITS on his own hand to get less friction. eek, indeed. SPOILERS: This movie is about gay cowboys, BTW. Kamster, there's a scene where Anne Hathaway displays her delicious JUGS. There.
I was waiting for an ideal thread to post this: http://www.dailysixer.com/brokeback.shtml The Point Brokeback and Star Wars' C3P0+R2D2 cracked me up... especially R2's probe...
Screw that movie. I'm never going to watch it. There's nothing more repulsive than watching anything associated with cowboys. They get enough run as it is.
