I just got back from cancun a couple of days ago and have finally recuperated my energy. It was a blast: a lot of girls, beaches, drinking, dancing, girls, and I even got on MTV for like a whole 15 minutes. I'll post it when the show airs. So i'm just seeing what things all of y'all did. Post your spring break stories here.
I spent mine recording a high school alt.rock band in my studio. It was kinda fun. http://www.tokyospacecadets.com/
I know. I hope they post the other songs. They are hilariously funny. "Masters" was one of the one's they recorded at my place.
I was boring and just went home. I did succeed in setting up video streaming over the internet, though.
I went to Cancun.Suffering from major withdrawal ever since returning to austin I had one of the best times of my life. One regret was that we left too early. The next day after we left MTV was coming in. Can't imagine partying with more people. We didnt think we could handle 7 days of straight drinkin . Goin for ony 4 days was a blur and wasnt enough . If you haven't been there for spring break, then your missin out.
I went skiing in Colorado for the Break. The snow was great and that made for awesome skiing! I'm not really into the Spring Break beach party scene. To each his own. I hope to get back to Colorado very soon!
Frank, WHere you been man? Gosh I miss that show.....too bad that Chris Carter came back and tried to DUMMY it down, it was getting real good with all the heaven vs hell stuff. As soon as Carter killed off his wife, and moved to a more X-files motiff the show lost it's audience, what a shame. Alias has picked up some of the intrigue from Millenium, but not all... DaDakota
I'm just starting my Spring Break, though since I am only taking a couple of classes for fun this semester, I don't know that haivng Spring Break is that big of a deal. So far I've just been setting up my new computers and playing a lot of Madden NFL 2002 for some reason. And I read the Harry Knowles autobiography. I have a book on Francis Ford Coppola and a book on Terry Gilliam that I plan on reading this week. I've also been playing with some of the footage we shot for my new no-budget movie (The Brotherhood of the Seven Spoons.... as a matter of fact, if one were so inclined, they could check out a rough cut of what we shot at http://www.filmdallas.com ), and we're shooting some more next weekend. So basically, it's nothing but party central at my place this week.
I worked at the Mc Gonigel's, aka the Mucky Duck. Baddest ass job of all time. Except for the country music and the weird Irish dudes on Sunday night (St. Pattie's) -Ninjs
I was in Cancun from 3/11 to 3/15 (Mon-Fri). Non stop drunkenness, all day and night. Stayed at Sandy Village Hotel across from Senor Frog's. Our rooms, right on the beach, had an awesome view of the ocean, only about 100 yards away. Couple of nights I saw the sunrise- the sun just explodes over the ocean. Amazing Some cool places I hit up. Oasis Hotel Beach - Ludacris/Kylie Minogue concert Fat Tuesday La Boom Carlos N'Charlie's Senor Frog's Pat O'Brien's Daddy O Coco Mongo Snorkeling in the lagoon Everything you hear is true about chicks in Cancun. But I'll save that for another day. I've got class at 9AM.
I never understood how the bad guys, while walking, always catch up to the good guys, who are running. Is this a spoof, or a really bad movie cliche?
It is a bad cliche that I spoofed for my movie. I mentioned somewhere in one of my long ramblings I make (actually, it's here: http://www.filmdallas.com/journal2.html ) on that site that it was meant to be a tribute to all those zombie movies where the heroes run but can never outrun the zombies who are always walking VERY slowly. It's also a horror movie cliche that the person being chased has to fall down at least once. So the hero from my scene also falls down there at the end. It's probably too subtle to be a true spoof, though. No one will understand I was spoofing the zombie movies unless I tell them.
So....who will become the first BBS member to apppear on Girls Gone Wild? Edit: Yes, Kim is a MAN, and not a woman.
Does anybody know how spring break locations stack up against each other by popularity? I know Cancun is probably the most popular spot but how do other places stack up such as Acapulco, South Padre Island, Miami, Lake Tahoe, other Florida locations, Lake Havasu, Jamaica, etc. What are some other good locations to hit up besides Cancun?
