That screen cap on the vid (before you play it) looks wierd... the legs coming out of the table under the cat.
A big male cheetah in his prime could blow that time away -- that's like having Bolt's mother run the 100 meters for him.
It is true though. If you do that math she only averaged something like 35 mph for 100 meters. Another problem was they were not pulling the bait fast enough. Only sprinted for a second or less.
They should do like it really is in the wild - put a pack of wild dogs, hyenas, or lions on them and see what their burst/instantaneous speed is. lol. I love cheetahs, but man are they the wussiest of the big cats. That being said, cheetahs going after gazelles/antelope are some of the coolest scenes in nature. Not so much for the speed as much as the directional changes they take at full throttle. It's just silly to watch them pivot at top speed.
Agreed. Side note: The lady really did believe a video of a cheetah running after a toy gave her a viable segue into the plight of wild cheetahs
I like cheetahs. cheetarah was my favourite thundercat, chester cheetah is a rad spokesman, and king cheetah is a cool poster.
That's because a King Cheetah like yourself has racing stripes down the back... That makes you like 1,000x faster than regular cheetahs like her.
Thank-you -- this of course is a proven fact. KingCheetah's are also known to hunt small aircraft and fighter jets.
