He is an important piece in regular season, but he does not know how to contribute in playoff games. Last year I was so disappointed by his performance, this year he is making me sick again.
Can not Coach A wake him up? I still believe he is a good three pointer, what he needs is getting his HEAD back.

Tracy is the only person playing better in the postseason as he always does.

Everyone else *so far* has taken a step (or two) back.

He is awake and he plays hard, but he doesnt have the handles to shake off his defender to get an open shot, and thats pretty much ball-game for an under-sized SG.

I think you saw much of this season that he does. I think Utah knows this and won't let him since they know there are so few people that can get to the rim on our squad.

It doesn't seem like Luther takes many shots. I didn't think TMac throwing Head's name out there was right. I think you have to mention Scola. He's good, energetic, but so undisciplined in my opinion.

He's terrible. He's not a bad guy, doesn't get hurt and plays hard so part of me REALLY wants to like the guy, but at the same time there's the sheer fact that he contributes absolutely nothing whenever his shot isn't falling.

For real, is there a player that makes you more nervous with the ball in his hands?

One thing that REALLY pissed me off last night was that he started to shy away from the ball. Dammit Luther, your'e in the game for ONE good reason and that's to shoot the damn ball!!! Otherwise your'e worthless. Take a note from AB, at least he was taking it to the rack and did not shy away.

not only getting open shot, look at those ungly passess he made. Seems he is alowded to do more penetrations in Cocha A's system, but he is not fast enough to attach the basket as AB, and he can not kick the ball out like SPAN. Hope Rafer can bring us a win.

Head is effective when he's a spot up shooter. Right now the guy assigned to defende him is physically bigger. so it's tough for him.

We don't need a guy who can shoot 3's at the backup SG. We need a guy who can penetrate and actually handle the ball, someone who won't make our offense COLLAPSE if Tracy goes out for two minutes. AND Luther's a cancer on defense! Get off of the team.

Seriously, if we need a 3pt specialist, his name is Steve Novak. We don't need Head. We need a backup SG! Look at Utah's Ronnie Brewer or GS's Monta Ellis. Those guys never shoot threes, but they penetrate, they handle the ball, they show up in the crunch. How about we get a guy with length, OR driving ability, OR defensive prowess, OR a track record of performing under pressure? Because Luther has NONE OF THOSE THINGS.

Luther needs to be left off playoff rosters if this continues. Every miss is a virtual turnover, and Utah shooters love having a midget under them as they drill 3s.

    Please.
    Season: 21.6 ppg, 42% FG, 29% 3pt
    Playoffs: 21.5 ppg, 37% FG, 11% 3pt

What a hero. And that's looking past his 0-for-4th quarters, and repeated stretches of treating the ball like uranium. Yes, his assists are up, because he's coming off every high P&R desperately looking to pass off the shot to anyone on the court.

If this team hopes to be a championship contender, it can't hope to have Luther Head playing meaningful minutes next season. That's the bottom line.

Head is a goner for me. Undersized SG with poor handle. Not too much matchups in this league.

Head is not a good shooter at all. Drifting shooting form that requires good timing. I wont call a career .424 FG% good shooter.

Head also doesnt like physical contacts. I dont know wtf he's doing when he drove under the basket and just threw up the ball when he saw some Jazz players coming in last nite's game. I hope he didnt crap his pant.

I have to agree. Maybe Shane is not that bad but he needs to be consistant. And Aaron played terrific last game.

But Scola, Luther are not getting it done...

didn't we all say this last yr? the role players disappeared like ghosts last yr. tmac and yao were playing 2 on 5. it got us to a 7 game.

the same thing is happening now but it's 1 on 5 so it probably is going to be a sweep.

it's sad, but we can never get role players who freakin' step up. can we get a gasol who can put up 36, 16, and 8 for god sake???

    word.

we need a bonafide swingman with some size and the ability to get to the basket, which is exactly what luther aint.

i think head is gone after this season.

    offensively he should do better?

but let me bring out the other stats to show he's doing EVERYTHING, including rafer's AND battier's jobs.

    9.5 rebounds, up from 5.2
    8.5 assists, up from 5.9
    2.5 steals, up from 1
    1 block, up from 0.45

he has guarded milsap, boozer at times in this series. he has guarded guys from brewer, ak47, harpring, and korver. adelman, like JVG, has switched tmac onto guys battier should be guarded and shutting down.

b/c of no PG, tmac has done all the playmaking and yet his teammates can't shoot well.

tmac should be better offensively. but imagine you're like the CEO, you're doing your assistants' jobs, the secretary's, and everyone else's, you think you have the energy to finish the job?

the tmac's quickness you saw in the first half is vastly different from one you saw in the 4th. he was fatigued. he was asked to do too much. let the guy rest and he'll catch a breath sheesh

I was really upset that Luther got any pt last nite, much less in the 4th Q. Really upset.
