He may have been part of the problem but I will say Rockets knew what they were getting. Now that Melo is gone the Rockets are still playing poor and defense is horrendous. Guys cant make a shot and careless turnovers are killing us. Very bad team right now!!

that is no reason to cut him. you could say that about every player not named james, chris, and clint on this roster. they cut him because of bdzelik. that much should be obvious to all right now.
I bet it was a mutual thing. Melo was tired of hearing himself in the media about about all the negative things about his game and would he fit and mesh. The Rockets were probably tired of feeling entitled to Melo because of his big name.
I believe he was. He conspired to trick Morey into signing him while letting Luc walk and dumping MCW as well as Ennis on us. He first had Phoenix offer 15mil to Ariza which was the first domino to fall...Then the max to his buddy CP3. He also injured Nene in the Bahamas! Melo is one devious dude!
I think we can clearly see that the problems with this team go well beyond Melo. The #1 problem seems to be injuries without NBA talent level replacements.
