I get a letter today stating that, after a random 'review' of my account, it has been determined that due to a 'billing error' I've been getting a $15 credit every month. So now this error will be corrected and I will be getting billed the appropriate amount. Luckily, I won't be back charged for the error! How gracious! What a freakin' joke. Basically I have suddenly had my bill go up 15 bucks for absolutely no reason and for doing nothing.
I don't understand why you are upset. You were getting something for nothing and now you will be billed as a regular customer. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/jETv3NURwLc&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/jETv3NURwLc&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
Any company that you pay money to, at any time, can do something like this. Your bank, your ISP, your cellphone provider ... all of them, at any time, can make up some bull**** in order to charge you more money. In tough economic times, you can always depend on ****head companies to make everyone's situation worse in order to maintain their profits. ...and they always prosper at your expense. **** them all.
After signing up for the "Triple Play" at $99.00/month two years ago, I dumped Comcast when they suddenly raised the price by $50.00/month. Never EVER going back. I miss the internet speed a little, but U-Verse is quite good enough.
Call them and threaten to go with another provider. It works with DirecTV, anyway. They usually give you a deal if its reasonable, especially if you can point out something that another company is doing cheaper (ie more DVR's, more channels, etc).
I was having technical issues and I told the customer service rep that I was considering switching to U Verse. She asked me, "what do you want me to do?" I was like WTF! how about a service credit since it takes a week for a technician to come out? Have you also noticed that it takes at least 10 minutes on hold to talk to a customer service rep? Thank goodness there is a competitor that is better than dish. I am ready to switch to U Verse but AT&T said they would have to switch my phone number so I'm hesitant. Plus after a year, U Verse jacks up their price (so it's not really different than Comcast). Also, having a receiver for each TV sucks for multi TV houses. I'm glad this didn't happen to me cause I would cancel my services on the spot.
i find that if you're a bit calm and a lot more tactful when talking to CSR, you'll get what you want. i can get a price reduction on the my cable bill just by being "nice" and not b****ing at the rep who really isn't at fault for what's happening with your bill.
Yeah my cable company is stupid. I cancel my tv subscription but kept my internet, they told me to return my boxes. After I did they never came out to cut my basic cable, a few repair men have came out to fix my internet and I was sure they would cut my basic cable but never did.
Apparently you were getting service for a number of months and were paying X-15 dollars instead of X dollars. During those months you were receiving $15 worth of something. Have you looked at your bill and compared it to the service you receive to see if you truly were getting a $15/month break?
the hell with comcast, couple of yrs ago I called them to fix my connection and it took them a week to get to , but I got the last laugh
Yes. I mean, if I was seeing a 15 dollar credit on each itemized bill,I'd be like oh well the jig is up. But there is nothing. Everything is itemized like it's always been, no extra services, no expiring special offers, the same amount I've been paying for at least a year or two. It's basically a 'billing error' out of nowhere that means I'm now going to have to pay more for no reason. And yeah, I'll call and yeah, i'll be nice. It's just annoying.
Comcast better give me new customer pricing cause I found out my neighborhood is wired for U Verse...**** you Comcast.
For you NBA fans, just know that you don't get NBA TV with U-Verse. That's my major gripe. Otherwise, it's fine and the whole home DVR is great.
