It seems I'm finally moving back to Houston. I've made a lot of good friends here, some of which I'll continually visit in Dallas, but ultimately, I'm GETTING THE HELL OUT OF THIS HORRIBLE CITY. Just figured I'd share that bit of info.
perhaps it's like asking why we shouldn't walk on the sun (except in the winter time, when it's much colder), but what's so bad about dallas? i love stereotyping as much as anyone, if not more, but i've never personally been to dallas?
this thread is all you need to know. http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=116083&page=1&highlight=dallas
Nine years in August...but at least I'm on the tolerable side of the metroplex...Ft. Worth really ain't so bad, but the less I go east of HWY 360, the better
Congrats man! I'm stuck up here for the forseeable future, wife doesn't want to move to Houston, that is unless we could only live there during the basketball season
And don't forget the crappy roads, cars, and yellow street lights hanging from wires. As for me, I can't wait to go back to Dallas next week
I don't see where Dallas is any different, esp. the muggy weather as of late, damn it's been humid up here!
Make no mistake, I'm no fan of Dallas' sprawl either. But bear in mind, Dallas is a much cleaner city than Houston. Having grown up in Houston, I remember being embarassed when family used to come into town to visit.
I think that's a bit of an exagerration, I grew up in houston as well and some area are trashy and some are not, sames true up here in Dallas and most cities
south dallas? ye sure you stay up north and its fine and dandy ( my sis lives in highland park...its great, but head down south and its a whole other story. every city has its good and bad spots. dallas isnt bad, but you have to admit its pretentious.
