Wow, did you guys see that black number she was wearing during that Japanese tv show sketch? I was just thinking such depraved thoughts, like if I was a traveling business man and she was upscale hooker meeting me in my hotel room, damn... I, uh, gotta go.
I don't know about that but this show went down fast after the nipply monologue. It's hard to believe they've had 3 weeks off for the holidays and this was the best they could come up with.
saturday night live is utter **** now. half the actors that made it decent yrs back are now long gone
But still... the show will turn out mega-stars every 5-10 years. Nobody knew that Chris Rock, Mike Meyers, Adam Sandler or David Spade would become huge stars. More recently (from the newer cast), nobody could predict similiar success for Will Ferrell when watching him on SNL. Even though the show has its downpoints, there are still several funny moments, and its great to watch comics who could potentially be the next big star. Current cast members who have star potential: Finnesse Mitchell, Amy Poeller, Will Forte (he's already had much success as a writer), Jimmy Fallon (he's not as funny as all the hype, but still could have a bright future). Its almost like watching baseball prospects to see if they'll develop into big stars. Plus, you could always just watch it for the host and their nipply monologues.
Man, she ALWAYS looks cold. My wife and I remarked about this last year. It could be 100 degrees and she could be in a sweater and those things would still be poking people's eyes out.
It's the weirdest thing. I loaded the pic, doesn't show up. When you click on Edit, it prompts you don't have access to Edit. When you hit Back, the image shows up!
Agree with Nick. SNL always rises from the dead. That's why it's been on for so long. Give it a chance. Of course, I didn't see the show last night.
I found the Saddam/Osama skit last night to be hilarious. I nearly lost it when bin Ladin told Saddam he looked like Ron Jeremy.
I was watching last night and overall the show was horrible - but this skit was great. I believe it was mostly improvised by the way it was going. The Ron Jeremy quote had me lollin.
What was the deal with the monologue, where she came out, they showed a Friends skit, then they went back to her, and she had on some jacket. Then she took off the jacket, like it wasn't supposed to be there. I didn't get that.
I guess she was trying to keep up the 'illusion' of having that scene be a real scene from Friends... as she was supposed to be just standing there introducing it to the audience (when in reality, she really introduced it, then ran over to the set to act in it, and ran back to the stage). When she introduced the skit, she wasn't wearing a jacket... she put it on for the skit, and I guess she was supposed to take it off afterwards. Of course, the only reason people noticed the jacket was because it covered up the 'reasons' why this thread was first started.
