martin and brooks sure can score 40+ one night. but they dig deep holes on defense and hurt the integrity of teamwork. even on offense, they make themselves ball stoppers. everybody can tell the problems of rockets, no defense. it seems like we have too many shooters rather play team basketball. the coach is thinking games can be won by overscoring opponents. what about phoenix suns. we have martin, brooks and scola in a row which can't be relied on on defense, if plus yao, that'll be no defense at all. my conclusion is one choice has been made between martin and brooks. as well as between yao and scola.
It's all about the rotation. IMO, we don't need that many offensive minded people on the court at once. For example, Scola and Martin should never be on at the same time. And when D'Ish develops more offense of his own (we're talking at least a season from now), he should spend more time than Lowry and maybe even more than Brooks.
Really? Let's review. Up 4 with the ball and Ish takes a worse shot then Rafer leading to a Jefferson layup. Then up 2 with Lee at the line and he bricks 2 FTs...yeah...uh...what was your innane point again? DD
Smith and Lee both made some plays to give Houston a chance to win, and both made critical mistakes in the final minutes that led to the loss. We'll probably see plenty more of both in the next couple of games since the ladies they're backing up broke their own ankles.
Ish would be great if he could shoot, but his shooting seems worse than Rafer's. I don't understand that he took so many. Lee choked, the loss is on him.
Martin bricked a technical FT that would've drawn the game to 3 points in a previous game (against hornets I believe).
How can you say this? Did you even watch the game? Ish can't shoot/pass for shiet. He's freaking 4-16. Most of his shots are unbalanced and imprecise. Can't pass the ball neither. He had 7 assists, yes, but those are easy/normal passes while he's outside the paint. And Lee, the choker?
The point he's making is that those guys got us back in the game. I don't know how to read this but martin is hardly ever in the game in the fourth quarter, does the coach not trust him or what?
Probably you've never played sports before...ankle twist happen plus they are incredibly painful...Jumping up and landing down on someone foot awkwardly has nothing to do with being fragile
Spurs played smart and stopped coming off of other players. Them helping on Ish's drives allowed the other Rockets to get good shots. They just made Smith try to beat them himself. With no one else open, he was forced to take more shots. Lee played great defense and had some big moments. Yes, he missed two crucial FTs, but HE by HIMSELF did not lose this game.
Ish should be aware of his shooting ability is worse than others. this kid has talent of passing ball, way better than Brooks. but his D is also a problem.
