Just like to start by saying thanks to everyone for participating, although there hasn't been a whole lot of action on the BBS about it the league has been motoring, with Cat whooping everyone's butt.

Next year we all need to ensure the trash talking continues and doesn't stop when the ball season starts.

The Final Standing were

14-3 Cat
13-4 Yakima
9-8 Fadeaway
8-9 Rimmy, SSG, BGM, DoD, PSJ, Bob* and Smeg
7-10 Behad, Lardboy (CK), Bees
6-11 Flyers

Congrats Cat on a great win, also a very tidy effort from Yakima.

It also worth noting franchise/flyers are now offically banned from this league due to complete inactivity.

Please post a summry of your own team and also any changes you would like to make to the league.

Smegville Smegstars

finished 8-9, but a a very fair record, injuries really hurt especially to Culpepper, Alexander, Pathon, Staley and Stewart and these were usually last second game day withdrawals which really don't help with my time difference. The defense and kicker really carried my team.

Daunte - after such a sensational previous year, this year was a complete dud and finished it off getting injured.

Tony Banks - crap as usual

Derrick Alexander - one of the worst 3rd draft picks every, think i could have played in more games and caught more passes.

James Stewart - injuries really hurt him, had a nice mid season run but that was it, another wasted 2 round pick.

Pathon - the trade with PSJ was looking great and then he gets injured, nice work clown

Booker - my best offensive player, thanks PSJ.

Bennett - did nothing and i traded him to PSJ, and he eventually played a couple of decent games, no matter season was gone by then

Staley - once he was in game shape was excellent and then also had some different minor injuries, 2nd best offensive player

Buckhalter - played very well when Staley was out.

James Jackson - you suck, got millions of carries but went nowhere!

Pinkston - had several brillaint games and then did nothing in the second half of the season, thanks for nothing

Chamberlain - great season especially considering he was drafted very late, no complaints

Janikowski - very good probably worth the early pick if other had played reasonable, faded a little though, probably more a result of Raiders playign crap teams.

Farrior, Edwards and Barrow - all great tacklers, thanks boys.

McQuarters, Williams and Griffith - tackle well, pass defended well and even got a few interceptions, pity Griffith was injured for a long time and isn't funny how the backs score so much better at the start of the season and then fade and the linebackers take over (well they did for me).

Anyhoo, thanks again guys, well played all, congrats Cat and seeya next season!!!!

This was my first ever fantasy league that used actual players stats and I enjoyed it. I learned a lot, and I'll definitely kick much more ass next year!!!

Also Congrats to Cat and Yakima for being a cut above the rest of us mediocre teams.

The Band Geek Mafia

Rich Gannon - Well he managed to make it through the season without blowing out a knee like some predicted, not naming names...fadeaway...;)

He had some moments of totally looking good on paper but being unable to score touchdowns. It was extremely painful to see 1 of the highest rated passers in the league constantly go for single digits in the fantasy points category.

He did improve in the 2nd half, but that 1st half really frustrated the hell out of me.

Lamar Smith and Charlie Garner - Well they were average, nothing to write home about, definitely didn't play up to what I was hoping for.

Kevin Dyson, Amani Toomer, Wayne Chrebet, Tim Dwight, and David Terrell - YOU ALL SUCK AND I WILL NEVER DRAFT YOU AGAIN! My WR corps was easily the reason for my team sucking.

Wesley Walls - Had his moments, could have been worse.

Jose Cortez & Joe Nedney - Decent job for the season.

Now to the part of my team that I am most proud about...the defense.

Jamir Miller (# 3) and Keith Brooking (# 4) both kicked ass this year and were drafted in the late late late rounds. I am most proud about those 2 picks.

Jason Taylor also had a good year for a D-lineman.

Rodney Harrison was also solid when he wasn't hurt.

---------------------

Lesson learned, never draft defense early, I spent too many picks on defense and saw my offense suck ass. I relied too much on my sleepers on offense and saw them never wake up.

Good season guys...even rimmy.

I only have a moment, but I wanted to say thanks Smeg. Loads of fun. Injuries wreck my early schedule. I finished 7-4 after an 0-6 start. A 2 point loss to Cat and a 4 point loss to Smeg were killers. Turn those around, and I'm 9-8 and tied for third. Bummer!

Congrats Cat!

I'm just glad Bennet finally got a damn yard, which was the one yard needed to beat the Cat on Monday Night! That was all I needed to complete an 8-9 season. Warner came on, but far too late for me to do any damage. Key injuries to my RB's destroyed me early. Jamaal Anderson is the shady side of a dog's ass. Three wins to close the season. Momentum building for next year....

I also would like to thank Smeg for another great CC.net fantasy season. Hopefully next year (when I plan to only do CC.net fantasy leagues hopefully then I'll have more time to concetrate on trades and waiver wire and not just getting my best team on the field come Sunday) But anyway here's how I rate my team.

Qbs
Stewart
Once he got rolling he was as good as anybody save Warner.
Brunnell
He was also solid all year though I probably drafted him too soon

Rbs
Williams
Dissappeared in big games and down the stretch, Thanks stud.
Dunn
HUGE DISSAPPOINTMENT
Antowain Smith
Draft day steal, great all season long
A side note - I was the first owner to pick up A-Train had I kept him instead of dropping him cuz of inactivity I would have won this league.

WRs
Moss
A letdown for a first round blue chipper like Moss
Willie Jax
If only he had Moss' talent but still a very good year
Warrick and Travis Taylor
Maybe next year

TE
Franks
All he does is catch touch downs

K
Carney
Very solid for me

DEF
Strahan
Got him off waivers after about the third week, just awesome
Trotter and Zach Thomas
Except for bye weeks I never had to worry about these hard nosed linebackers.

Overall I would rate my management of this team a 6. I think had I had more time and been a little more patient waiting on A-Train to get some carries this team had the talent to do alot more. I can truly say I enjoyed this league as I do with all the CC.net leagues and hopefully next year we can be even more active with trading and stuff.

And big congrats to Cat, see ya' next year champ;)

Congrats Cat. Well done. applause

Griese started out hot, but finished cold.

Stephen Davis started cold and finished hot. If only I had made that Davis for Rod Smith trade that fadeaway offered early in the season, things may have been different. Maybe not. All my other backs stunk

Schroeder was my only decent reciever, ranking 18th best. No depth to speak of.

#1 ranked tight end Pollard was a pleasant suprise.

Martin Gramatica was a major dissapointment finishing 20th with a 7.6 avg per game.

John Abraham was a nice pickup off the waiver wire, where linebackers were slim pickins.

Spikes faded the second half of the season.

Thank You Rimmy for waiving the #1 ranked DB Ronde Barber. 9.3 per game was a nice addition. Smeg waived Darren Sharper 7.7 ranked 8th.

My team easily led the league in 0's:mad:

Very dissapointing season for me.

Thanks everyone... I really enjoyed it. Great league, and I'm looking forward to next season.

For my team, the difference maker was Priest Holmes. I expected Faulk and Aaron Brooks to have huge weeks most of the time, and they usually obliged. However, the rest of my team was pretty average.

Defense-- Buchanan, Mo Lewis, Jevon Kearse.
TE-- Rotating Cam Cleeland and Anthony Becht, nothing special
WR-- Isaac Bruce, Jimmy Smith, Tim Brown, some big weeks from each but overall no huge standouts
K-- Jason Elam, good year

The formula that really worked for me this year was to get 3 great games, have everyone else just play solid, and usually I found a way to win. As I said before, the real difference was Priest Holmes. I thought he would be a steal as a 6th-7th round draft pick, but who knew he'd lead the entire league in rushing? When Aaron, Marshall, and Priest were all on their games (which was often), all I needed was for the other players not to totally suck, and I knew I'd have a very good chance.

Congrats, Cat. You drafted well and your key players managed to avoid the injury bug for almost all of the season.

I had one of only three teams with a winning record, so I guess I can't be too upset. I think I drafted pretty good, but three things killed my team:

1. A season-ending injury to my first round draft pick and second top pick overall.

2. Not having a dependable quarterback.

3. A dumbass trade I made really early in the season (ties in with #2).

Anyway, these were the main players on my roster this year:

QB:

Tim Couch - Mediochre all season long. Didn't have the breakout year like I expected; maybe next year.

Tom Brady - A good waiver pickup, but he was too unpredictable to be an effective fantasy player.

Elvis Grbac - I can't believe I traded for this bum. A major disappointment all season long.

Matt Hasselbeck (traded) - Luckily, I traded this goon when people still thought he was worth something. Should have pushed harder for Priest Holmes instead of Henry, though. What a lopsided trade that one would have been!

overall -- very poor

RB:

Edgerrin James - Killed my season. C'est la vie.

Jerome Bettis - A solid performer most of the year, and a steal in the fourth round.

Travis Henry - A so-so running back. Only useful to plug in on bye weeks.

Shaun Alexander - Strong candidate for steal of the year. I got him in like the 20th round. Next year he'll be a top five pick.

overall -- decent, even without James

WR:

Rod Smith - One of the best all season long. An awesome third round pick.

Torry Holt - A mild disappointment because he was so inconsistant.

David Boston (traded) - A great fifth round pick. Ended the year in the top five at WR. Too bad he did this on Behad's team.

Levarneous Coles - Very good waiver wire pickup. Solid.

Peerless Price - Ditto. Took Eric Moulds spot.

James Thrash - He'd follow a 30+ point game with a string of five 1 point games.

Qadry Ismail (traded) - Finished the year as a solid player at WR, also on Behad's team.

overall -- excellent. too bad I traded 2 of them away for crap

TE:

Freddie Jones / Chad Lewis - After draft day, I honestly thought I had the best one-two TE punch in the league. Shows what I know...

K:

Solid, if unspectacular.

Defense:

Derrick Brooks - A major disappointment. I fell in love with his star power and he totally burned me.

Worst trade of the year (for me):

David Boston, Qadry Ismail & Joey Porter for Derrick Brooks & Elvis Grbac.

Well my team sucked, and even though I wasn't really active at the end I would like to take another stab at it next year. My first year in fantasy footy and I think I'm wiser.

Fred Taylor - no bigger bust than you.

Ahman Green - a little above what I expected

Trent Green - you are a bum. I will never draft you again because you suck really bad.

Horn - really bad in the beginning, but turned it up at the end and had a decent season

Wycheck - decent, nothing spectacular

Pittman sucked, Maurice Smith sucked, Biekert sucked, Crowell sucked

Dawkins, Patton, Kris Brown, Conway, and Flutie were decent

Urlacher and Sammy Knight were awesome

Echoing other players thoughts, I had a good time and look forward to next season, possibly with a detour through a baseball league or two.

As for the Yakima team which was a 34 pt. game from Marshall Faulk away from winning the league, here is the final synopsis:

QB - Manning was huge at first and then petered out bad the last five weeks or so. I also had Plummer who had a really good season, but only got to use him once. Probably should have traded him for help elsewhere. Grade: B

RB - Corey Dillon was solid and probably my most consistant player. Alstott didn't run for many yards, but seemed to always be good for a TD each week coming down the stretch. Biak..whatever got injured after his best week of the season and everybody else at this position, Chapman, Goings, McAllister (until I waived him) was a zero. Grade: A-

WB - Huge trouble here after Marcus Robison went down. Luckily, Derrick Mason recoved from a terrible first half to put up good numbers. Cris Carter got worse and disappeared by the end of the season. Mathis, Jefferson, and Frank Sanders contributed rarely. Grade: B-

TE- David Sloan was hit and miss, but when he had a big game he did it up right. This isn't a high scoring position so anything I got was bonus. Grade: A-

K - Vanderjagt was what I expected and filled the bill fine. Would have been nice if Indy had given him more chances. Grade: B

Def. - My defense made the difference many weeks. I don't think they were outscored all season. Ray Lewis was awesome, and Nate Wayne was surprising solid until he got hurt. Junior Seau filled in alright, and Aeneas Williams contributed often as my loan DB. Grade: A

Until next year....or baseball season....
