Personally, I have never had my phone smashed. I've had Androids since the G1 came out, and I've never had so much as a cracked screen. However, my gf is a different story. We were in San Antonio this summer at Sea World. we brought along our small kayaking dry bags to keep the phones protected around the water. I attached mine to my belt, while she hung hers from he lanyard. Everything was going fine until we rode the "Steel Eel" rollercoaster. Early into the ride, there is a double drop. On the second drop, the dry bag flew up and off her neck. She turned to me to tell me what happened and I made note of the location. After the ride ended, we told theh attendant, checked the other seats, and quickly went to track it down. After a 20 minute search, I remembered that she had "lookout" on her phone, and we used my phone to locate it and set off a siren on the phone. We found it hanging from a tree. The dry bag kept everything together, but the phone must have smacked the rails full force...both screens were shattered, and it had a noticeable bend in it. The phone still worked enough to receive alerts, but obviously there was no way to access them. I've seen plenty of cracked screens, but never one smashed like this one...I can only imagine the force this thing hit with. Let's hear your smashed phone story.
I have Iphone 6 and Note 5. The reason i have these outdated phones is thanks to OtterBox. I hope i didn't just jinx myself.
