Talented here means a lot of assists in stats sheet, high score and atheletic. Smart players refer to players with massive basketball IQ I don't know if this is true. But now European style of basketball with more than 8 people rotating is dominating the basketball world. The obvious evidences are the US basketball team's lose in world cup and the rise of Mavs and Suns. Another reason for the US lose is they lack smart players such as Jason Kidd, Kobe and Tim Duncan. Yesterday's game further proved it. Raptor's guys know how to play basketball. They are like an Europen team kicking asses. And they didn't look tired when playing us. We look like the talented US national team with only one smart player and a dumb coach. I come up with the idea of combing the smartest players in a team while the most talented in another. In case of conflict, I exclude players like T-mac, Kobe, Tim Duncan, Paul Piece, Scott Pipen, etc who are smart and talented. Smart team: Jason Kidd Manu Ginobili Shane Battier Pau Gasol Brad Miller V-Span Brandon Roy Bargnani Okafor Coach: the smatest coach - D'Antoni Talented team: L James D wade Camero Anthony AI Dwight Howard (he will belong to smart team soon) Arenas Joe Johnson Coach: All the other nba coaches except for Pat Railey, Phil Jackson and Jerry Sloan Which team do you guys think will win? I think the smart team will win big time. That's why I don't like Head who doesn't have any basketball IQ and not that talented.
Call me when the Suns, or Sonics style of ball wins a championship. Or even makes it to the finals. Oh and call me when Olympic and World Games use NBA rules...
In NBA, of course talented team wins, think about it, what if the NBA officials suddenly stop blowing the whistlers for the foul, and allow the rough game going on? They did that before, and Smart Team got no way winning it. In International game, I don't know, to be honest, and also some of thoese guys have both talent and smartness anyway.
What you want is smart and talented and dedicated. We have a few of those on the Rockets. Yao, Tmac, Battier, Juwan, Novak, V-Span, Hayes, & Deke. The others left all lack one of the 3 qualities above. DD
Heck yes, watch him run the team and pass the ball, he has a very high basketball IQ. His media skills need a ton of work though. DD
Bargnani is very talented. Toronto wouldn't have made him the #1 pick if he was an average talent. Jason Kidd(All-Star) and Pau Gasol(Memphis franchise player) are far from having no talent. Okafor is smart and a talented player! Okafor is a blocking monster. Arenas is a pretty smart guy and talented. You should take him out.
people say Utah is the smartest team in basketball right now [i saw it in one of the articles quoted here] The rockets would still Scrub them . . .without Yao . . in the playoffs Euroball and its dominance is about the rule changes that have been made to facilitate the inclusion of Euro players Also it still ain't won an NBA championship Rocket River
Yes, and I especially likes when he jumps in the air with no where to go around the 3pt line and then turns it over. His passes are nice but many NBA players can make those passes they just don't because the risk is not worth the reward. Especially when he is passing the ball to Hayes or Mutombo to try and make a layup.
im sorry...maybe its too early and coffee hasnt kicked in. But, why does is billy on that team? bargnani? if anything bargnani would be on the talented team. also, the 'smart' team is still dang talented
Nonsense, Spanoulis has made no TO for the last 5 games... I bet you're waiting for his next mistake to cut his head off, while you are watching Alston, JLIII and Head play stellar basketball... You idiot...
I ask you same question........... Did you ever see an NBA game in the 1980s? Hell the 1970s? Did you ever see Russell's Celtics play?
Yep [there were not that many touch fouls and no zones] yep [there were not that many touch fouls and no zones] nope Rocket River
