If you could do without sleeping or eating for the rest of your life, which would you cut out? For the sake of argument, you could do either if you wanted, but you would never get hungry or tired or never lose energy for lack of the one you chose.

I'd go without sleeping. I get enjoyment out of eating, not so much out of sleeping.

If I never got tired why would I even want to sleep?

That would be awesome. I'd use the extra 6-8 hours to learn new languages and **** like in Phenomenon.

That's the way I feel too.

I predict that most women would rather live without eating because of the social pressures of being thin.

If I didn't have to sleep, I'd have a lot more free time on my hands.

If I didn't have to eat, I'd have a lot more money in my pocket.

I'll go with the extra time.

    How did you know?!?!?!

No, really, I need that mental break that is called sleeping every day. I need to reboot. I can't live/function without it. I'd still go places and eat just so I could hang out with friends and whatnot. Food, I can live without. I LOVE food, but I'd rather keep my sanity.

Let's see here...eating costs money and sleep is free.

I think I'll do away with the thing that takes money out of my pockets.

    Simple economics...

Time = Money... Sleep takes a 3rd of your time on Earth away from you...

    reconsider.

Already considered, and I came to this conclusion...

Time only = Money if you work during that time.

So I cut out the food, save money, and don't increase my work load :D

I'm just thinking in terms of increased utility. Think how easy it would be to earn a good degree if you could go to school full time and work a nice paying graveyard shift at the same time. If you were suddenly given a 3rd more time on this earth, surely you wouldn't just use it idly?

If you're never tired than you only require relaxation, so you can still chill on the weekends.

I'd probably play a lot of basketball at 3 AM and master the electric guitar.

I'd use the time to read more, learn more, and write the novel that I'm struggling through.

    Two words: me time.

Seriously though, I think it would be too cool to not have to eat anything. It would make working out a lot more effective, and I could even go live in the wild, or visit Mexico without getting the sh|ts.

Humen consolidate their memories during REM sleep. So without sleep, it would be hard for you to learn anything.

I wouldn't eat. Save the money from eating to buy me a nice comfy bed.

I've gone 36 Hours without sleep.
I've gone 36 Hours without food.

Hunger I can handle, but sleep deprivation is misery
