    matt forte
    chris johnson
    slaton
    ray rice
    ricky williams

only one roster spot remaining- who do I scoop? Forte got alot of hype early on. I am worried about williams and rice not having enough other offensive weapons around them to where other teams will be just stuffing the run. So i guess i am really choosing between forte, johnson, and slaton..

Chris Perry will get a lot of carries in cinci now.

Look for Pierre Thomas in nawlins' and possibly rashard mendenhall in pittsburgh as deep sleepers.

I have a feeling that Perry won't start for long and Watson is going to be the guy there.

Out of that list Forte is the only one that is really the number 1 guy on a team. He has been drafted in all my leagues and will get his yards in an offense that is going to feature the run more than the pass.

Yeah, I had picked up Watson previously since he had performed well last season, but forgot that Perry had been out the whole year. Apparently the word out of Bengals camp is that Perry looked so much better than any of the other backs that they felt confident in getting rid of Johnson and having him as the starter with Watson backing him up.

I think Kevin Smith in Detroit will have a better year than Forte, the Bears offense just seems to always be a black hole for fantasy players.

It looks like this may be one of the best RB drafts of all time, McFadden, Jonathan Stewart and Mendenhall should all be great backs, Smith and Forte are already starting... Felix Jones looks decent, but he isn't going to start any time soon. Ray Rice I don't expect much out of... Chris Johnson is the guy i think could really surprise here... even though he's more of a homerun hitter, I think he could eventually be a great back even if Lendale continues to get the goal-line carries. Steve Slaton will certainly get every opportunity to be the man in H-town as well.

Little issue with Kevin Smith is that Detroit is looking to bring in Rudi Johnson........which could hurt his stock.

question: on my bench I have Micheal turner, chris perry, ricky williams, and jonathon stewart. I need to cut one and pick up a kicker to fill my roster. I wont cut turner. So if I cant make a 2 for 1 trade who should I drop? Williams, Perry or stewart?

That's a tough one. I'd say drop Chris Perry or Ricky Williams. J-Stew is a stud... keep him for sure.

I think I will drop ricky williams...I know the fins are still locked in with ronnie brown so they probably will split the load... while perry seems to be the guy in cincy.

I was in a situation where my draft was good and I was able to get Adrian Peterson and Maurice Jones-Drew as my RB1, RB2, which was nice. I also added Reggie Bush as RB3, with Rashard Mendenhall as my RB4. I picked up Ricky Williams and Chris Perry off the waiver wire (This draft was about a month ago, Yahoo Winner's league) but my WR situation was a bit spotty since I decided to go Tony Romo in round 3.

I ended up with Santonio Holmes, Roy Williams, and Bernard Berrian as my WR1, WR2, and WR3. My backups at the time were Javon Walker and Kevin Walter, I dropped both of them and added Ricky Williams and Desean Jackson.

Anyway, I proposed some trades and ending up acquiring Roddy White and Nate Burelson along with throw-in Fred Taylor (insurance for Jones-Drew) for Ricky Williams, Reggie Bush and Berrian.

Now I feel better about my Wideouts adding White and Burleson because White put up 1200 yards despite the Joey Harrington / Byron Leftwich debacle at QB, and Burelson is pretty much the only guy healthy at that position right now in Seattle.

I also handcuff MJD to Taylor so I'm covered there, and Perry hopefully will be a good RB3 with Mendenhall as my sleeper to keep until I have a Kicker/Defense bye week.

So stacking up on RBs is always a good thing to do even if you are weak at WR, there are plenty of options. People with weak RBs will be more willing to trade.

    4. Roddy White

    QB
    Jay Cutler
    matt schaub

Problem is I dont have a roster spot for a kicker. I dont want to carry less than 4 recievers and I have 7 rbs.
No one wants to deal in my league cause we just had our draft 3 days ago and I cant go into week 1 without a kicker.

How many RBs do you start?

I don't think you should have fear of cutting Williams or Perry, you're stacked.

2 rbs start and one PR/WR/RB

so basically I start 3 RBs.
This is my first year playing (and its for money) and I have always heard to carry as many rbs as possible because of the long season and injuries

possibly, i still think slaton and chris johnson are better options. Kubiak is really high on slaton right now from what i read on chron.com last night.

I agree..........and to think I had just picked him up in a trade, as he was more of an afterthought in the trade. I may have come out, pretty good if he continues......

Is Felix Jones worth keeping? He's my 4th RB behind Edge, McFadden, and Chris Johnson. Fawk I could have drafted Forte.
