I'm struggling here at work keeping awake. I thought last year was bad staying up late, going to bars, watching all the Astros game. This year, I've tuned it down some...had people over at my boyfriend's place and drank a lot less.

But after last night's game, I am barely making it at work. Just curious if there are others out there like me today.

If this is the wrong forum, please switch.

I'm right there with you. I had friends over last night to drink beer and watch the game. When midnight struck, they couldn't take it anymore and left. I stayed up and kept drinking beer. After the game was over, I tried to go to sleep, and just kept tossing and turning for an hour. I've been a zombie all afternoon. I will watch tonights game, but I'll be lucky to make it past the fifth inning.

Stayed up until the end and I had to wake up at 5am to go to work. I'm okay though. I'm the king of catnaps. I can close my eyes for 10 mins and I'll be good for the rest of the day.

Yea, I'm slogging through the day. Since it's close to Halloween, there is plenty of candy to be had to keep me going with the sugar.

Yes, I'm hungover right now and drinking a Lo-Carb Monster Energy drink. It would be much easier making it through the day if the Astros won.

I'm with ya, too much beer at rehearsal and then staying up to watch the loss. I'm going to sneak in a nap after work so I can repeat the whole thing tonight. (Except for the loss part!)

I woke up at about 7:15 and somehow got to work ontime at 8:30... I guess a lot of people slept in. It usually takes me an hour and a half to get to work (Friendswood to Westchase)... with that said I took an hour nap at lunch in my car!

I had to emotionally detach myself from the Astros after the Pujios HR, I was just getting too emtionally involved in the Astros' success or failure - that night I couldn't sleep, kept having nightmares of that HR leaving the yard - I'm okay now since I have refused to get as "into it" as much I was - I went to bed last night at 1am when Astacio came in, I knew it was over then and slept fine

combine that with a colicky baby and you have the perfect combination for absolutely no sleep.

Life is not fun right now.

We left the stadium about 1:15 and got back into Beaumont about 3:00. I was in bed by 3:30 and up at 6:00, for work. I did very little at work today and took an hour nap on my conference time. Now I get to go to football practice before going home and going to bed . the 'Stros may have to do it without me tonight.

Yeah, a lot lighter. I left late and my commute took me an hour less then if I would have left ontime... I couldn't believe I was at work when I was supposed to be.

I called in a vacation day because of too little sleep last night due to the game and the aftermath involving cursing while tossing and turning. I had to sleep in. The agony of defeat is the worst.
