It's on TNN right now... the dunks are spectacular, but damn, it's so "rollerballish". What do you think if you've watched it or are watching it?
I watch it because it satisfies(SP?) my basketball hunger. Also I think its pretty cool. It may get boring after a little while, though. (see XFL.) I hope that doesn't happends though. It is pretty fun-looking. *edit* Gah! They are better athletes than I thought. I just saw Cuba Gooding Jr. try to dunk, and it took him 3 jumps of the trampoline. DANG!
oh... this is silly... but it does satisfy a basketball craving... in some weird way... not sure what way... i know, a silly way!
I liked it a LOT more than I thought I was going to It really does look like fun, and the players are really going at it not bad... when does it come on again?
I really liked it. What I saw of it, the strategy looked a bit raw. A lot of refusal to run any kind of offense, and just dunk over the defender (which does have its merit). However, I think that in time, this could be REALLY cool. All kinds of interesting fake slams and alley oop plays run in order to circumvent the loan defender. I think it could be amazing. I really did like what I saw right now, as well. I think that those guys are much more athletic and coordinated than you would think at a glance. It's not an easy thing to have that much body control while in the air.
I actually thought it was OK also. They got some incredible athletes, especially that one guy that blocked like a bizillion shots. The dunks get old after awhile but I agree like everybody else, its satisfying my NBA craving.
After being a gymnast for 13 years and playing team ball for many years.. I think this game is BADAZZZ!!!!!!! It takes a lot of agility to jump around on the tramps like they do. I would like to see Steve Francis try an play. He would probably soar!!!! Better yet, what if Yao Ming tried playing.. lol. He could get like 18 feet in the air!
I thought it was pretty good. I'd like to see a little more skill involved, though some of the players were pretty good, others just couldn't shoot. Missing little 5 foot shots and stuff like that. A couple of the blocks were AMAZING. I caught a few minutes of a game today and decided to try and find out all the info. here it is: Slamball facts The court is 94-feet-long, 55-feet-wide and is surrounded by 16-foot-high plexiglass. The shot clock is 15 seconds. Perimeter shots put three points on the board as do dunks. All other baskets are good for two points. Teams consist of four players: one stopper or goalie/guard; one handler or forward; and two gunners or wings. Players are protected by knee, elbow, and wrist pads and a helmet. A set of rules, including no low hits and no clipping in the back court insure a clean, if not pain-free, game. A full season with six teams was played and filmed last year. An inaugural slamball champion was crowned. The "Slamball" series premiere is Aug. 3 at 8 p.m. on TNN. Five one-hour shows follow on consecutive Saturday nights. Should hold me over until NBA season starts up again.
I thought Slamball was hott. Sean "Inches" Jackson and Stan"Shakes" Fletcher are the best ballas on Slamball. I think its tite how they do tite dunks. Especially Seans 360 between da legs dunk was HOTT.
Actually some of the smaller playa get higher then the taller ones. Like Inches he can fly better then them all. Him n Shakes are ballas
