A close friend of Rasheed Wallace has reportedly told SLAM that the forward will retire if he doesn't get $8 million to play next season. Wallace, who will be an unrestricted free agent, is unlikely to make that much after averaging 12 points and 7.4 rebounds for the Pistons this season. He'll be 35 when the 2009-10 season begins, and earned nearly $14 million from Detroit this year.

    -------------------------------

my guess is this is not 100% accurate. i don't think it's wise for anyone to turn down (let's say) $5M for $0 because it's not $8M.

He will be a Spur, Cav, Magic or Celtic at MLE.

He's been chilling too much with Allen Iverson. I don't know what team would want him though. Maybe he could go back to Philly, and Iverson could join with him.

Sheed wants money, Iverson wants to start. Both could retire.

If he was younger, I would def. give him 8 million. What happens if somehow he signs with us?

Keep your dreams to yourself. An unmotivated Rasheed Wallace is a train wreck waiting to happen

Obviously, just take a look at that bold part. Sheed is better than T-Mac when healthy and when motivated anyways.

Well I said he would retire in the Joe Dumars thread. Didn't think I would be right though. I still don't think I will.

At this point in their respective careers, I'd rather have Scola than Sheed as my starting PF.

Did you say Sheed is better than a healthy/motivated T-Mac? Or are you saying a healthy/motivated Sheed is better than an injured/unmotivated T-Mac?

Because if it's the former, you're insane.

See you on the links, Rasheed. Ain't nobody paying your old cranky broken ass 1 cent over the MLE and you'd be lucky to get even that.

Prime Sheed healthy and motivated could have been the best player of all-time, so it doesn't matter. T-Mac has had the better career than Sheed obviously. But I am sick of T-Mac fans especially explaining how great T-mac would be if he was motivated and healthy. Because you can almost say the same about Sheed.
