I don't know if I am glad he's playing street ball to up his image or worried he's going to break something before he even gets to his introduction rally ;)

It's obvious that the guy loves the sport. Nothing wrong with that! :)

"He wasn’t there for a sneaker he was endorsing or to flash a new car he was pushing and thankfully not to perform cuts from another rap album."

That made me laugh...He's just keeping it real...

As long as he doesn't get hurt I'm fine with it... I'm thinking that Ron Ron is probably doing most of the hurting. The dude doesn't get hurt I don't think...

I meant to say, as long as he doesn't get INJURED.

Why is NYC forcing Ron to compete in the summer when he should be resting?

Don't they know Ron missed 25 games last season and will need all the recovery he can get now that Keith Jones is going to be his trainer?

Nobody is forcing him. Ron is playing at his own will.

Man, Artest is a baller. No way if I'm a multimillionare baller do you see me playing city leagues for the fun of it. But I sure am glad he is that type of baller, he is gonna have a big impact with the Rockets.

There are cats who play in the NBA that are sitting by the pool in the Bahamas right now, I’m sure,” says Roy Beekman, former high school All-American as a player and current coach of Hostos Community College in The Bronx, seated in the stands. “Ron Artest is out here playing ball on the concrete in this heat, playing hard and winning championships. A lot of other guys are on vacation,”

Funny he says that because Artest just came back from a trip to the Bahamas with Deke...
