I did a search and nothing came up, but I'd be surprised if this hasn't been discussed here yet, considering this video is from last year. Although it's probably one of the rare topics worthy of a repost anyway.

I won't bother trying to describe what this is exactly...just know that it is insane (in a "safe for work" kind of way).

If you're in a hurry, just watch from 4:00 to 11:30.

That's amazing. I want one. I don't care how silly I would look with a bunch of different colored thimbles on my fingers.

Great Technology but man It would lead to more social ineptitude. Eliminate social interaction since all that info is at the palm of your hand. I guess it's unavoidable.

On the contrary, I think it would push us in the opposite direction. Sitting behind a computer on your own leads to social ineptitude. A wearable interface allows you to go out into the world and interact with it. I think he makes a strong case that you'd actually increase social interaction.

    Cool invention bro.

When was this video taken? I assume all the info is out already about this? I want to make one myself, like he said, cept my technological ineptitude is beyond the point of no return.

On the other hand, you could wear it during sex with a brown bagger and it would 'paint' the bag over her face for you!

The potential for this is astounding. And here I thought iphones and the like were the end-all, be-all for putting information at your fingertips... no pun intended.

iGloves™, coming to an apple store near you.

Seriously that is some cool stuff. I think what's coolest of all isn't what he's done, but how he wants to be available to everyone. Obviously the hardware isn't what's awesome about it... and he's talking about opensource software.

I would question whether it's currently as functional as it's presented, but it's no real jump to see that many of these brilliant ideas are attainable... and more revolutionary in how interaction between digital and physical can be explored.

Agree in how he says it can increase human interaction with the world around them. Its all visual projection. But then having an iPhone built into your arm can "free you up" to do "other things". I dont think he's on the bad side of progress, which is the good part.

(We question government and religion self interest. But for some reason we don't question science and technology's. We assume they have all the "right answers", but I don't have complete trust in them either. But thats another day another topic...)

It wont lead to more ineptitude. It'll lead to more fanboyism, douchedom and showboating probably :)

This is exactly where I see the future of information technology going. Unbelievable invention.
