Headquarters for Six Flags will move to Charlotte after a merger with Cedar Fair. I didn't know they already owned Schlitterbahn. https://www.wfaa.com/article/news/e...vJH0RQOewCFRlG-qyA_aem_ZmFrZWR1bW15MTZieXRlcw Six Flags has been in decline ever since former Washington owner Li'l Danny Snyder bought and ruined the entire company. Hopefully Cedar Fair can improve things.
Eh, non-news. They are clearly already poorly run after the disastrous and ill-conceived Astroworld closure and confused about their geographical location in Texas as Arlington is clearly not in the north part of the state.
Got passes to the Arlington SF because we moved up here and I promised my boy we'd go ride coasters. Part of me is trying to relive Astroworld nostalgia for sure but man, I hate to be the "back in my day" guy... I just want things to be good. Rides are constantly shutting down, barely operating at a low capacity or not open all day. The food is expensive as hell. There's like zero entertainment around. It just feels really half-assed. And they're posting $1.30 surcharge on food "due to labor and supply" like bro this basket of frozen chicken tendies and fries cost you $5 to produce, maximum including labor. It's already $20. You need the extra $1.30 hidden as a surcharge? Feels like a case of let's squeeze it to death to make the margins higher without realizing the squeeze is hurting business. Idk what the numbers are, if you made a little less but noticeably improved the quality of the product wouldn't you be happier?
